Tokyo Mew Mew 2; Chapter 1

I ran down the street, following my friend Maple. "Maple!" I yelled. "You can't go down there! Its too dangerous!"

"Im sorry!" Maple yelled. "I...I have to go!" She ran around a corner, me following, but when I got there, all I saw a a small, yellow cat, and a feather. The cat mewed, and ran down the alley way. "Maple!" I yelled, my voice echoing. The only replie was the cats footsteps, running down the alley way.

I know this sounds stupid, but I feel like that cat has something to do with Maple! Was I crazy?!

"Cream!" I heard Daiki's voice yell. Daiki was Maples boyfriend. "What are you doing?!" He asked, and grabbed my arm. "But...Maple! She went down there!"

"I'll get her! You get out of here!" He shoved me out of the smoke. "Daiki!" I yelled in protest, but he was already gone. I felt full of worry as I stared into the smoke. Both Maple and Daiki were in there!

'Please come back alive....' I thought. 'Please....'

I waited for a long time. I heard the cries of the Mew Mews, fighting. I could only hope Maple and Daiki weren't in the middle of it all. I waited, and waited. It was boring, but I didn't care! All I knew, was that my friends were in trouble in there, and I couldn't do anything.

I suddenly heard the fighting stop, and I looked through the smoke. I just got a glimpse as the Mew Mews ran off, going who knows where!

I ran into the battle field, where no one was. I saw Daiki run back. "I couldn't find her. Maybe shes gone home. I'll check!"

"Don't worry Daiki!" I said. "I'll go to her house. Your putting yourself in a lot of danger, I'll find her!"

I didn't wait for his replie. I ran off, towards the alley I saw maple run into.

When I finally got there, I saw the small cat again. It mewed quietly. "Hi kitty." I said, kneeling down. Even if it was just a cat, I think it had something to do with Maple.

The cat mewed again, and slowly walked towards me. It nuzzled my hand.

The cat seemed to yell as I grabbed it, holding it up close to me. "I don't know why, but you seem important." I said. Why was I talking to it? Cats can't understand me!

The cat mewed loudly, squirming. "Your coming with me!" I said. I walked towards Maples house, with the cat mewling like crazy. I finally got a good look at it.

The cat had yellow fur, long tail, and was fluffy all over. Only a little bit was white, like its muzzle and paws. One of the main things I noticed, was its electric-blue eyes.

I ran down the streets. After awhile, the cat stopped squiggling, and stopped mewing. 'thank goodness!' I thought.

I ran up to Maples house door, and knocked, careful not to drop the cat. Maples mom answered. "Yes?" She asked. "Is Maple here?" I asked hopefully. "No." She replied. "Her father just went to search for her."

"Well, thanks..." I said, and ran off. I ran to my house, and went inside. "Mom!" I yelled. "I've got a friend for Momo!"

"That's nice dear!" I heard her yell. I sighed. She never really noticed anything.

I petted the small cat. "Momo!" I said. "Come see your new pal!"

Momo appeared. She had long, ginger fur, and green eyes. She was a fat cat, and didn't do much. Maybe a kitten can give her some exercise!

Momo rubbed my legs, and purred. She followed me as I placed the small kitten in a box. She jumped up and down, trying to get out. "You can't get out, little one!" I smiled. That sounded creepy!

Momo seemed happy. She gladly leaped into the box, the kitten squealing. Momo was three times bigger, and wider than her. Momos big tongue lapped her fur. "Your already friends!" I smiled down at them. 'Now to look for Maple.' I thought.

I heard the kittens squeals, as if she didn't want me to leave. I grabbed my jacket, and put it on. 'Maple, wherever you are, I'll find you!'

The last thing I heard was the kittens squeaks, as she ran around the box.
