Chapter 8

Maple POV.

Maple cheerfully walked down to Cafe Mew Mew. She hummed a song she made up along the way. She walked into the usuall park the Cafe was in, and saw Lettuce changing the Close sign to 'Open'. "Hello Lettuce!" Maple smiled. Lettuce looked up. "Your in a good mood, Maple-chan!" Lettuce replied. "I'm glad to see you so happy!"

"Yeah, it was boring to be in that hospital." I replied.

"I guess that means you've gotten over Ka.....that thing!" Lettuce stammered. I didn't flinch, or lose my smile. "Yeah, I got over Kauai being dead!" Lettuce looked surprised at me saying such a thing. "Okay. Everyone else is inside!"

Me and Lettuce opened the Cafes doors. Pudding was putting the last chair off a table. "Done!" She cheered. She looked up, and saw me. "Maple-chan!" Pudding said, jumping over to me. "Did you get over Kauai being dead?!"

"Pudding!" Ichigo gasped. "what?" Pudding asked. I smiled at the excited elemntry school girl. "Yeah, I got over that!" I smiled. Ichigo looked up at me, confused. "Really?" She said. I nodded.

"Well, that was faster than I thought it would take!" Minto sighed. "From what Cream said, it sounded like you were gonna be gloomy forever."

I shrugged. "Well, ya know. It just happens." I replied.

"Yeah! Your normal!" Pudding exclaimed, hugging me. "Now we can fight aliens!"

"Sure..." I said, hugging Pudding back. "That sounds like fun..."

Kisshu POV.

I couldn't help it, but when I heard Ichigos voice down an alley way, I had to see what she's doing! "Kisshu...." She was saying. "Ichigo?!" I had said, and flew towards the voice. Had she broken up with her boyfriend?

"Kisshu...." It kept getting fainter and fainter. "Wait, Ichigo!" I yelled, trying to keep up. A girl with speed...I like it!

I thought I saw her figure I the distance. "Ichigo?" I asked.

It wasn't Ichigo.

"Kakudo!" I growled. Kakudo smirked. I pulled out my swords. "If you think I'll join you, your greatly mistaken!"

"Why would I want you?!" She rolled her eyes. "I've found someone else!" Two men walked out of the shadows. "Hi, alien.." The older one said. A man with blonde hair, and a black shirt appeared. Following him, another boy about the same age with brown hair, and a white shirt. "Were double-trouble. And this fine lady promised us big payments!" The older guy sneered.

Kakudo grinned. "I promised them a really big payment." She pulled out a two pills. "These pills will turn them into something like Ichigo, except they 'kill' Mew Mews!"

She tree the pills, which they caught in the're hands. They quickly ate them. The blond haired dude grew bigger, and got sharper teeth. A long, yellow tail poked out if the back, and small yellow ears were on his head. "I guess I'm the lion!" He laughed.

The younger dude grew a black tail, and small black ears. "A panther...how lucky!" He smirked. Kakudo grinned. "I guess well see how powerful you are. Go after the green-haired kid!" Kakudo pointed right at me. "Who you calling kid?!" I growled. Before I could leap at her, cat-like claws scraped my cheek.

'Talk about Ow!' I thought.

"That felt good!" The smaller boy exclaimed. The lion-kid ran at me, and roared. He leaped on me, and clawed me. I felt liquid run down my whole body. I was at the ground before I knew it. "That was a waste if time..." The lion-boy sighed.

"Hey, I heard that Ichigo girl was Kawii! Cute!" The younger boy snickered. "No, not Ichi...." I gasped in pain as he kicked me in the side. "And that Maple girl? Talk about Me-ow!" The lion kid purred.

I heard them turn, and walk down the alley way. 'Not Ichigo!' I thought, but I was bleeding to death. 'Anything but....Ichigo....'

"Kisshu!" I heard. 'Tarto...' I thought. I saw a small figue, and a taller figure floating down to me. "Pai, hurry!"

I closed my eyes, and let the darkness take me.
