Chapter 9

Maple POV.

I sat in the empty Cafe, watching everyone work. 'Im too bored to work...' I thought. "Maple! Why don't you get up, and actuality do something!" Minto complained. "I can't....I don't work here..." I mumbled.

"Do you want to?" Shrogane asked me. "Not really.....after all, I'm still getting over Kauai."

"YOU'VE BEEN OVER THAT FOR WEEKS!!!" Minto screamed. "Minto, don't act like a two-year old brat." Shrogane snapped. Minto crossed her arms. "I'm not acting like a two-year old brat, I've just had a lot if stuff on my mind!"

"Like what?" Ichigo asked while sweeping.

"Like dance, aliens, and school!"

"Minto, we haven't had an alien attack for weeks. You also don't have dance until next month. And you don't go to school any more." Ichigo said. Minto stared at her. "I'm going to help In The kitchen!" She finally said, and stomped off towards the kitchen.

I chuckled. "at least it's not too boring, at least with Minto around!" I smiled. "Yeah!" Agreed Ichigo.

Suddenly, the doors burst open. Lettuce ran in. "I saw....a....a...al...Aliens!" She gasped. "I ran....a....as fa.....fast as....I.....could!" She was gasping for breath. "Lettuce, can you show us?!" Zakaro asked. "Their...about 20....blocks.....from here...." She sat in a chair. "Go on!" She said, relaxing in the chair.

I knew Lettuce wasn't good in situations like this. "Come when your ready!" I told her.

"Mew Mew Zakaro."

"Mew Mew Pudding!"

"Mew Mew Minto!"

"Mew Mew Ichigo!"

"Mew Mew Cream!"

"Mew Mew Maple!"

"METAMORPHOSIS!!" We all yelled.

As we ran down the streets, I realized something. "Have you guys seen Kisshu at all?"

"Not for the past few weeks." Ichigo said.

Pudding nodded. "Did he go back to his planet?"

"Wouldn't he tell us that?" Minto asked. Pudding shrugged.

"Wherever he is, I hope he's okay!" I said.

We finally came to the 20th block. When we got there, nothing seemed wrong. All the buildings were fine, cars, and the....people?

"Where's everybody?" I asked. "And where's the alien?" Cream said.

All seemed fine. I knew Lettuce wouldn't play a nasty trick on us, and why would this part of Tokyo be completely deserted? It just wasn't right.

"Hello!" A cheery voice rang through the empty street. It sounded like a mans voice. Suddenly, two boys jumped into the middle of the road, cracks formed, and they stared at us. One boy was a high school student, near that age, and was tall with his black hair. The younger boy, most likely starting Hugh school, had born hair. The strange thing was, they had cat ears. The older, yellow with a long tail. The other, black.

"Who are you?!" I yelled.

They smirked. The older one said, "Why, I'm Akane." He smirked. "And I'm Chika. Were here to destroy you." The younger boy sighed. "And Ichigo was so cute!"

Ichigo tensed.

They suddenly leapt forward, claws ready for a good kill. We all dodged, me and Minto flying away, and everyone else running for it.

"Your bit getting away!" Akane yelled, running after me and Minto.

"Minto...arrow!" Minto exclaimed, her bow appearing.

"Ribbon.....Minto ECHO!!!" She yelled.

Even though the arrow was fast, it wasn't fast enough. Akane dodged, and leapt at her. Minto streaked as she was clawed down, laying on the ground. "No, Minto!" I screamed. I landed, wanting to run to her bleeding body. Akane stepping the the way.

"What now, kitty?!" He growled, his tail whipping the air. "Come with me..." His claws showed, "or she dies!"

I looked at him, horrified. Go with him, or watch my friend bleed to death. A slow, unhappy death. I looked around for help, but none would come. Chika was making sure the others were busy, some how he had managed a alien animal.

I looked into his evil eyes. Him, or another dead friend?

'Kauai...' I thought. 'He died, for me. Minto will die for nothing if I don't do something!'

I stepped forward, showing my hands. Tears shown down my cheeks. "I'll go with you..." I said.

"No, Maple!" Minto gasped in pain as her scratch dripped with the red liquid.

"I'll go, if you promise not to harm anyone else." I said. The tears coming down harder. 'Kauai, help me be strong! Help me feel I'm doing the right thing!'

Akane leaped forward with an incredible jump. He was I front of me, smiling an evil smile. Those silver eyes staring right into mine. "Good choice..." He smirked, leaning forward, grabbing me.

"What are you-" I gasped, his lips drawing near.

"Good choice..." He grinned.
