Chapter 4

Maple POV.

As I walked out of Cafe Mew Mew, I remembered about Cream. I needed to find her, and explain, maybe ask how she could understand cats. Of course, she might not think I'm a Mew Mew at all! I felt a spark of hope, but than I realized, I shouldn't get too excited. It doesn't mean she doesn't suspect that I'm part of team Tokyo Mew Mew.

I continued walking down the street, looking around. The police were gone, and the streets were deserted. It didn't feel like Tokyo anymore...I'm use to people rushing around, and me bumping into people. That's how I meet Daiki....

Wait, DAIKI!!!! He hasn't seen me since the battle!!! I'm soo stupid!! I face-slap myself, and run to his house. I was too busy thinking about that, it seemed as if time ran by. I was suddenly at his house. How did I get here so fast?! Maybe it was my cat powers.

I knocked on his door, and waited. Soon, Daiki was at the door. "Maple!" He sighed, and hugged me. I kissed him oh the cheek. "I'm so sorry Daiki!" I said. "I'm so happy your okay!" He cried. I'm so lucky to have such a lovley boyfriend!

"Come inside!" He invited me. "I was just making some blossom tea." "Sure!" I purred.

Kauai POV.

I watched, with a pain in my stomach, as Maple walked into Daikis house. She doesn't know I have been following her the while day. With some one...

"See!" Kakudo told me. "I was trying to warn you! You may love her, but she'll always think of you, as a friend." I made fists. "But she's happy..." I whispered to myself. "But are you happy?" Kakudo asked.

Silence.

Kakudo patted me on the back. "If you help me, I'll help you! We can get ride of him!! Maple will fall for you, right when he's gone!!! You just wait, and see!!!"

Is this true? Can me and Maple still be together?!

"So..." Kakudo said, "will you join me?"

I closed my eyes. I could join her, get Maple, get ride of Daiki, and be happy. Or, I could watch Maple and Daikis love grow stronger, leaving me as just a friend. Never to be loved like the way I want Maple to love me.

"I....I......I......" I took a deep breath, and looked Kakudo straight in the eye. She smiled, and held out a hand. "What's your choice?" She asked again.

"I'll do it." I finally answered.

Cream POV.

I sat at my destroyed house. My mom was still at the computer, acting as if nothing happened. Wait till she takes her eyes off of the computer screen! I grinned. My mother never had time for anything. No time for kids, cleaning the house eating, or sleeping. It was always work. Anything she did was work. I never truly understood why she never took a five minute brake, and I'll never understand any way.

I pulled out my pendant, and stared at it. It glowed in the sunlight, it's pink heart, and small designs. It looked nothing like a transformation thingy.

Momo appeared, rubbing my leg, purring. "Hi Momo." I said to the old cat. Can Momo talk too? I could talk to that small, yellow cat. "Are you hungry?" I asked her. "Yes!" A small, old like voice replied. I chuckled. I guess I can talk to cats!

I got up, and got her a bowl of milk. Soon, I heard something. I ran to the front door, and surprising saw people putting a new window in, a new wall, and a new door.

I ran to my mom. "Theirs these guys, mom." I told her. "Don't worry!" She replied, keeping her eyes on the computer. "I've paid for the damage." My eyes widened. How could she have seen the damage? She never takes her eyes off that computer!

I saw a grin come over her mouth. I think I don't know my mom as well as I think I do...

I went back to the front door, and saw that the guys had somehow finished it already. "How...." I gasped. "Just got the fastest fixer uppers in Japan!" She yelled to me. How could my mom afford it?!

Now I'm sure, theirs things I don't know about my mother. Well, she has been working in that computer forever. That's it!

I opened the new front door, and walked out. The day seemed....happier, and I felt like a while new person. 'Im a Mew Mew.' I thought, 'that means a whole new start!' I knew Maples secret, and now, I'm part if it.

Maple POV.

I sat at the table, Daiki beside me. We sipped his home made blossom tea. It wasn't really a tea, Daiki had made the recipient up. I have no idea what he puts in it, but it's good!

"Where were you?" He asked me. "Hum?" I replied.

"Where did you go?"

"I needed to make sure my mother was okay."

"You putted yourself in a lot of danger to do that."

"But I'm okay now!" I protested.

"That doesn't matter. You've been doing that ever since we became a couple! You think I'm not worried for my girlfriend, running into fights??!!"

"It's just..." I began.

"What?" Daiki asked.

"Well..." I looked away from his eyes.

"Maple..." He held my hand. "Please...I need to know....for your safety....."

I pulled my hand away. "I can't!" I said.

"Why?!" Daiki asked again.

"I just......can't!!!!" I stood up, and ran for the front door. "Maple!" I heard Daiki yell, but too late. I was out the door.

Their was only one place I could feel safe, and away from this madness. Cafe Mew Mew...

I ran to the green park. The Cafe soon came into view. I knew it was closed, Cafe Mew Mew was always closed on Sundays.

I unlocked the door with the key Shrogane had given me. I closed the door, and was alone in the Cafe. It was dark, except for the sunlight coming from the small, heart-shaped window. The chairs were stacked nicely, the floor swept, the register shined.

I went to my usual thinking corner. It was near the doors to the kitchen, where the light from the window shined on. The ground was warm, and it felt good to get a rest from all of the boyfriend madness.

I sat there, trying not to think of Daiki. Puppies, kitties, cars, clouds, candy. Anything but Daiki!

I felt a tear, but sipped it away. 'Your not gonna cry!' I thought.

The doors opened, and I lifted my head. I soon saw the figure of "Kauai!" I said. I smiled. "I'm so happy your...."

"Come with me." He said.

"What are you talking ab-"

"Love me instead."

My eyes widened. "Kauai..." I said, "what are you doing?"

"You don't love me, not yet." He said.

"Kauai!" I said.

I saw a faint, white, evil glow in his eyes. Had Kakudo.....

"Kauai, don't!" I had no idea what he was going to do, but it wasn't anything good!

"You don't care." He said, the glow getting brighter.

"Kauai! This is wrong!" I said.

"I will destroy him!" He yelled.

"Get control of yourself!" I yelled. "This isn't Kauai!"

"Yes it is!" A new voice said. "Kakudo!" I said.

She smirked. "She doesn't care about you!" She told Kauai. "Make her care!"

My eyes widened as Kauai rip the Cafés door off, and throw it at me. I dodged it by instinct. "How..." I mumbled.

Kakudo laughed. "He has strength, no matter what form he's in!"

Kauai could turn into a giant, I knew that, but I never knew he could keep his strength in any form.

"When he's done with you..." Kakudo smirked, "he'll make the other Mew Mews pay!"
