~CHAPTER 3~

The moment I least expected. This can't be real. Why is the universe doing this to me? I've already seen the only 2 people I dislike the most and it hasn't even been 2 hours since I got to school.

"Watch where you're going," Heather hissed

"Woops, I didn't see you. If I did, I would've done a lot worst than bumping into you," I snap

"Yeah whatever Jen." She turns away rolling her eyes

She is such a b- argh! I wanna hurt her so bad! I can't believe she'd even have the guts to talk to me.

Let it go Jen. Let it go.

A few minutes later, everyone entered the class. I didn't see anyone I know except for well, Heather. She'd always turn around every minute to give me that 'you're dead to me' look which I should be giving her since I'm the victim here. I was blank for a second.

"Excuse me? What's your name young lady?" the teacher asked

"Oh sorry um my name's Jen," I reply

"Wow you are so pathetic," said Heather with a disgusting laugh joined by 2 other girls in the class

"Oh shut up Heather I'm not the one who-" I stop myself, I didn't want people in my class to know about my personal life... already.

"Say it Jen. I dare you. SAY IT." She replied with a little laugh

"Ladies enough! Do you want to take this in the office on the first day of school or would you like me to proceed with our first lesson?" said Mrs. Haworth. "Thank you."

We both sat silently throughout the whole class period.

The heart ache I feel in my chest every time I look at her is painful. I trusted her.

[FLASHBACK]

"Hey beautiful!" Austin chases me in the hallway, puts his arms around my waist and gently kisses me against the lockers.

"Hey," I put my arms on his shoulder and show a bright smile on my face. He completes me.

"Oh damn love birds get a room!" Heather interrupts and giggles. "C'mon Jen, I need to go home for lunch, wanna come?"

"Yeah sure," I look at Austin and press my lips passionately to the sweet, soft lips of his. "I'll see you later"

Heather and I start marching down the hallway and out of the school.

"So how are things between you and Austin?" She asked.

"You know what, for the first time ever, I actually feel like he's the one," I say and Heather laughs out loud. "What? I may sound cheesy but I really think this relationship's gonna last."

"I heard a rumour though, apparently he is or was a big time player. Just be careful ok?"

"Look, people change. I mean, were you the same person you were a year ago? No. You weren't."

"I guess you have a point. I'm just looking out for you. I don't want you to get hurt or anything. In the end, we'll always have each other, no matter what happens,"

"Of course Heath! I'm just not worried about Austin at all. He told me that he changed and I trust him, that's all that matters to me right now. I really like him so I won't let rumours or sluts get in the way of my relationship."

"Well then, I'm really happy for you Jen." Heather smiled.

I'm really happy for you Jen. Was she really happy for me?
