New Years love

Life decisions

This is set about 3 years later. Sarah is 44 and you are.... Well add 3 to your age now lol.

"Good Morning sunshine," I say as me and Sarah wake up beside each other. Sarah sits up and places a kiss on my lips. I smile and kiss back. "So I was think.....," Sarah begins to speak. I sit up a little and look at her to assure her I was listening. "Do you want kids?" She's asks. I break eye contact for a moment. "I mean I've always thought about it. A part of me does want a child but another part of me would rather just be free from children. Why do ask?" I then ask Sarah. She grabs my hand. "I- I don't know. I was just wondering if you wanted to adopt a child." She says nervously. I stare into hers and ask, " Do you want a boy or girl?"

Me and Sarah went to go eat brunch. "I'm so excited (y/n)!" Sarah says before taking a bite of her food. I had agreed to adopting a child with Sarah. We had done research before going out and we had set up a meeting with someone from an adoption place later.

A few hours later we got ready and left our little house we had bought. It was one story with 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms. As we walked into the building which was just a little coffee shop. Sarah grabbed my hand and I could tell her was nervous. "Hey baby, it's going to be alright," I say as I kiss her hand and tighten my grip a bit. 

"Good evening," a woman says as she gets up to shake our hands. We all sit down at the table. "Thanks for meeting us," I say. "No problem!" The woman says. Her name was Jane. "So we already spoke on the phone about everything really I just wanted to meet you and make sure what you were looking for in your future child." She says smiling. Me and Sarah looked at each other. We had already discussed what we wanted in our child and agreed on the gender. I nodded letting Sarah speak. "Well we wanted a girl ..... in her teens. Probably like 15." She says. "That's wonderful. Really. Most teens don't get adopted as easily as babies. I do have some papers of young girls at our adoption center." Jane says as she takes them out. I sigh with relief.  She started by showing us 3 girls. They were all 15. One girl had blonde hair and brown eyes. Another girls picture was a pretty girl, she had brown hair and brown eyes. The last girl we looked at was beautiful. She had light brown hair and blue eyes. She was the one me and Sarah wanted to adopt. We both agreed immediately. "Great! I'll set up a time for you to come down and meet her tomorrow. Is that okay," Jane asks. Sarah and I nod our head.

We left the shop and head home. We were in bed and Sarah was so happy and it made me happy. "I can't believe we are doing this," I say to Sarah. "Me either," Sarah replies. "Soo any details about season 6 yet," I ask eagerly. Ryan hasn't told anyone. "Nope! None of us have been told the theme! Ryan has kept it from everyone but we find out in a few days when I go back to work," Sarah says with a giggle. I'm mad Ryan won't tell anyone the theme! I'm so impatient. I laugh to myself. "Well I'm going to get some sleep. Goodnight sunshine." I say and kiss her cheek. Sarah stays up a little later reading but eventually she fell asleep. I was just having a little trouble sleeping. I was so nervous and excited for tomorrow!

I was thinking and I don't want to end this book. Not yet. It's my first book and even though it sucks I want to keep writing chapters for it. :)
