Ryder walks up to Ryley with a smile on his face and a bouquet of flowers behind his back. He rushed up to his girlfriend's side as she stood by her locker and kissed her cheek, taking her by surprise a bit.
"Hey." Ryley says.
"Hey." Ryder says, giving her a proper kiss on the lips. He then passes her the bouquet.
"Thank you." Ryley says with a smile, smelling the flowers then feeling awkward because she doesn't know where to put them.
"We'll figure out where you can put them," Ryder says, "I was wondering though if you'd like to go out on a date tomorrow night."
"Sorry but I have planning for the next fundraiser to bring back the glee club tomorrow night. Sorry, Ryd." Ryley says, closing her locker.
"Rye, I love you but you need to take some time for yourself." Ryder says.
Ryley begins to walk down the hallway with Ryder by her side. She sighs, "We're getting so close to having our club back which means I really need to focus on this."
"And that means ignoring me?" Ryder asks.
Ryley stops walking in the middle of the hallway and Ryder stops too. She looks up at him, "I don't want to ignore you but I just really need to figure out another way to get the money we need for the Glee club."
"Then what about tonight? We could go out to dinner and get a movie out or something?" Ryder asks.
"Sorry but I have plans with Blaine since it is his last night before heading back to New York." Ryley says.
"When do you have a free night then?" Ryder asks.
"I don't know..." Ryley says.
"Are you just going to come to me when you're free then?" Ryder asks.
"I don't know, Ryder!" Ryley shouts.
People begin to notice the sort of feuding couple in the middle of the hallway.
Ryder sighs, "I love you Ryley. You should remember that always but if you can't make time for our relationship in the midst of this Glee Club drama, I don't know if we're going to work anymore."
"Ryder-" Ryley starts but Ryder's already began walking down the hallway.
Ryley sighs and feels herself wanting to cry. She mentally hit herself then she let that band in her mind play a song and she sang.
[Ryley:]
All along it was a fever
A cold sweat hot-headed believer
I threw my hands in the air, said, "Show me something,"
He said, "If you dare come a little closer."
Ryley's no longer in the hallway. She's sitting on the benches outside, looking over the football field. She watches Ryder in his number 19 football jersey and all his football gear practicing.
Round and around and around and around we go
Oh now, tell me now, tell me now, tell me now you know.
She stands up and walks down the steps to the bottom of them so she's leaning on the handlebar at the bottom of the steps.
Not really sure how to feel about it.
