Rick's P.O.V.

"Wake up! Rick, wake up!"

Someone was shaking me by my shoulders and screaming, but sleep took over a while ago, and it felt really good. I honestly didn't want to wake up. Then I remembered the events of the previous night, and that just made me want to stay sleeping even more. Wait.

Carl.

My eyes shot open at once, and I looked around frantically to find out who was shaking me so violently.

"Wake up!" Mystery Girl yelled again.

"What is it?!" I asked, assuming something bad was happening. After all, it never stops. "Is it Carl? Is he okay?"

"Who?" she asked, furrowing her eyebrows.

"My son, is he alright?"

"If you're talking about the boy in the hat, then yeah, he's fine. It's just... Well, you have to get up now. We're here," Mystery Girl informed me.

I let out a sigh of relief I didn't even realize I was holding in, and slowly sat up on the unfamiliar bed. "I need to see him, I need to know that he's okay."

"You will, I promise. Don't worry. I'll take you to him after we get you cleaned up a bit," the teen spoke softly with a small grin. "Come on, let's get you up and out of this van before it starts moving again," she said with a light laugh.

With that, she held out her hand just as she had done the night before and pulled me up off of the small bed. Mystery Girl walked me to an old building. It looked like a school. Call me crazy, but I swear I saw a tiger. I decided I'd ask this girl about it later. After all, maybe I was just seeing things.

"The showers are a few doors down on your right. Just hop in and leave your clothes outside the door. I'll be back in a few to take them and I'll leave you new ones," she said to me once we entered the building.

"Why do you need-"

"I'm just washing them. Chillax," she laughed halfheartedly while holding up her hands in a calming way. I really needed to get her and Carl to meet. She'd be good for him, even if they just ended up being friends. She was...lighthearted...and calm, and that's what he needs now. We all know he has something going on with Enid back at Alexandria, but I feel like Mystery Girl would fit in there, with both of them.

"Well, I'll leave you to do your thing now," Mystery Girl gave me an awkward look and light laugh. She turned and started out the door.

"Wait!" I called, causing her to stop dead in her tracks. "Now that we're here, do you think you can tell me your name?"

"I probably should, shouldn't I?" she spoke with a nervousness in her voice, turned to face me again, and swallowed. "It's Riley. My name is Riley." She avoided looking at me.

"It's a good name," I told her.

"You should get cleaned up," she said and walked out the door a little faster than usual.

I undressed, left my dirty clothes outside the door, and hopped in the shower, letting the hot water peacefully hit my head.

Riley's P.O.V.

I went back to the showers around five to ten minutes after I left and gathered up all of the dirty clothes, making sure to keep his "unmentionables" in the middle of the pile, so I only had to touch the pants and shirt.
