Scott and Mitch were sitting around a fire with some of the people of the village just after eating dinner.

Mitch poked a stick into the fire as some of the townspeople we're bringing out marshmallows.

Mitch took one and put on his stick while holding it over the fire. Scott took one and did the same, not really knowing what he was doing and just copying Mitch.

Mitch looked at Scotts marshmallow and saw it was on fire and started to giggle.

Mitch leaned into Scotts side and whispered that his food was on fire.

Scott snapped out of his gaze and yanked it up, blowing on it frantically.

Mitch started laughing harder and showed Scott how to properly do it.

"So how long have you two been in a relationship?" One of the townspeople spoke.

Mitch blushed and turned to look at Scott, "About a year."

Scott just looked at Mitch and slowly smiled at how he was telling at these lies.

"We don't see many same sex couples, but we are all fine with it." Another mentioned.

Scott put an arm around Mitch, noticing him shiver. Many people looked at them in fascination.

Scott put his burnt marshmallow on graham crackers and added chocolate. He took a bite and immediately smiled.

Mitch tilted his head and grinned, "Have you never had a s'more before?"

Scott shook his head and took another small bite. Mitch laughed and turned back to his marshmallow, that was in the fire.

Mitch dropped his stick and frowned at how his marshmallow fell off his stick and into the fire.

Scott noticed and tapped Mitch on the shoulder, "Take mine."

Mitch leaned his head on Scott and pulled down his hijab to expose his mouth.

Scott fed him a bite and saw that Mitch got some chocolate on his face, "Can I be really cheesy?"

Mitch smiled and nodded his head, giving Scott permission to kiss off the chocolate on his cheek.

A couple people awed at them as Mitch pulled up his hijab again after the chocolate was off of his face.

Scott returned his arm so it was around Mitch again and set his stick on the ground, "Thank you for having us, but me and my boyfriend and going to go to sleep. We will be out of your hair soon."

"Okay, breakfast will be served at seven. You don't need to go but if you want to the offer is there. And you aren't bothering us, you can stay as long as you like."

Scott took Mitch's hand and laced it with his own before thanking for the offer and saying goodbye.

They walked to their bed and shut the door tiredly. Scott took off his dirty shirt and slipped on his extra.

Mitch looked around his his bag for his other shirt he had and threw his old one in the sink.

Mitch got in his night clothes and started the sink so he got both of their clothes wet to wash.

"I can wash them honey, you go lay down." Scott said as he walked up behind Mitch.

Mitch smiled at the pet name, "I'll wash them and you can hang them up, fair?"

Scott nodded and stood beside the sink, watching Mitch rub the soap into the clothes.

After a couple minutes of Mitch doing that he spoke up, "Why can't we just stay here?"

Scott walked closer to Mitch and took off his hijab because he didn't need it anymore, "Because of the same reason you are wearing this."

"But I can just keep wearing it and hide. And it's really nice here, they have food and water and lots of extra housing. They are accepting here too!" Mitch protested.

Scott sighed snd ringed out the clothes, "You wanted to find true love in another country, right? And soon enough your father will send out troops to find you, it's not safe here or in any other part of this country."

Mitch looked at his feet innocently, "Well, what happens if I find a boy I like in this country?"

Scott looked to him as he was ringing out the clothes, "Yeah? Like who?"

Mitch squinted slightly and shrugged, "I-I dunno, who do you like?"

Scott turned around to hang the clothes up, "No one."

Mitch didn't respond and just slowly laid down in the bed. Scott dried his hands and laid down next to Mitch.

Mitch face away from Scott and stared directly in front of him. Scott tapped on Mitch's shoulder to make him turn over, "What's wrong? Usually when we lay down you are immediately all snuggled up to me."

Mitch blinked a couple times before scooting closer so they were chest to chest, "How close do you want me to be?"

Scott put a hand on Mitch's hip to make sure he wasn't going anywhere, "Right here is fine."

Mitch moved so their foreheads were resting on each others and their noses were brushing.

Mitch stared into Scotts blue eyes and glanced down at his lips. Mitch felt himself leaning in slightly to connect their lips in a passionate kiss.

Mitch didn't know what came over him. He was upset that Scott said he didn't like anyone, which made him careless and kiss Scott.

Scott didn't know how to react to the kiss at first and just froze for a second. Then he started to move and get a firm grip on Mitch's waist.

They eventually pulled away, breathing very heavily. Scott ran his hand up and down Mitch's side comfortingly.

"Goodnight Scott." Mitch whispered as he turned away, his voice sounding like he was about to cry.

Scott frowned and flipped Mitch over to see that he had a red face.

Scott pulled Mitch in for a hug, "Don't cry Mitchy, what's wrong?"

"I-I just kissed you a-and ruined our friendship." Mitch stumbled out, "You d-don't even like me."

Scott rubbed Mitch's back and kissed his neck, "I do like you Mitchy, I like you a lot."

"I-I like you too."

Scott smiled and continued to rub Mitch's back, "So don't cry, it will all be okay."

Mitch pulled his head back to look into Scotts eyes and weakly smiled, "Did you say that you like-liked me too?"

Scott grinned and nodded shyly. Mitch tightened his grip on Scotts shirt, "Does this mean we can date if we both like each other?"

"I think we can try out being boyfriends and see how it goes. But I know for a fact that I have a crush on a small boy named Mitch's Grassi."

Mitch blushed and began to get more excited, "I have a crush on a big, handsome, blonde jock!"

Scott chuckled, "So, do you want to be my boyfriend?"

Mitch nodded immediately after he said it and lunged at Scott to attack him in a hug, "Yes!"

Scott laughed and felt Mitch placing kisses all over his neck. Mitch pulled away with a big goofy grin on his face and pecked Scotts lips, "Good night, boyfriend."

Scott turned on his side so he was spooning Mitch and kissed his shoulder, "Good night boyfriend."

Mitch slowly closed his eyes and tried to contain his excitement while Scott was gripping onto Mitch and nuzzling his head into the crook of his neck.
