>> HARMONY
"You ok? You haven't been yourself in the past few days." Kennedy sat down with me at our lunch table.
"Yeah, I just been sad, ya know." I sat down shoving my nasty school lunch away from me.
"Well, let's play a game. A game like 20 questions." Kennedy clapped her hands.
"Ok, pretty nice. We can learn about each other a bit more." I smiled.
"Ok, favorite candy?" Kennedy asked me, pulling out a sheet of paper and pen.
"What's that for?" I looked at her awkwardly.
"Oh I forget, because I'm a forgetful ass." She smiled, trying to look not so obvious.
"Oh, ok well my favorite candy bars are Milky Ways." I thought.
Kennedy quickly scribbled on her paper.
"Ok, um, favorite color?" Kennedy chewed on the end of the pen.
"Blue." I smiled.
Kennedy wrote that down. She just was asking more and more and more questions.
Trevor walked over to the table.
"Hey babe." He greeted Kennedy.
Kennedy blushed. " Harmony, you've met Trevor before."
"No." I said, getting up and walking off. Ugh, why are boys the way that they are?
I walked over to get an apple when someone called out my name in a taunting manner.
"Guys, look at Harmony the Big Baby." Liyah pointed and pouted.
Her table laughed.
"I'm not a big baby, Liyah. You can shut the fuck up." I scoffed.
"Oo, the cry baby has finally something to say back." She mocked, her cronies laughing with her.
I clenched my fist and was about to punch this bitch in her face but someone stopped me.
It was a guy with dreads and the most beautiful eyes ever.
"Come on, she's not worth your time." He whispered in my ear and led me back upstairs.
>-<
His name was Antwon. He plays basketball and loves too draw. Neat.
"Yeah, don't mind Liyah. She's a big obsessed with her ex's." Antwon told me.
"Thanks for getting me out that mess." I smiled.
"No problem." He pushed a dread out of his face.
"Antwon! What's good!" Derrick came out from a classroom.
"Derrick!" He smirked, them doing a little bromance hand shake.
I rolled my eyes. What is he doing here?
"Hey, you go get lunch. I'll take it from here." He looked at Antwon.
"Sure, thanks fam." Antwon went downstairs.
Derrick waited until he was all the way down the staircase.
"So your just going to flirt with my friend now?" Derrick whispered, agitated.
"Flirting? Control your damn girlfriend who was instigating a fight." I scoffed in disbelief.
"She not my girlfriend!" Derrick ran his finger through his twisted hair.
"Then what is she? Your fuck-buddy?" I glared.
"I broke up with her after you were heartbroken." He confessed.
"Y-You what?" I asked, surprised.
"I broke up with her because I love you and I made the worst mistakes ever. I can't go to bed at night and I just sit and eat Skittles because I can't stop thinking about you." He awkwardly messed with his collar.
"Derrick, you broke up with her for me? Why would you do that? Th-That's crazy?" I looked surprised.
"All the best people are crazy, we're just our own type." He smirked, kissing me up against the locker.
I pulled away, getting red and awkward again. I smiled.
"Did I pressure you again? I-I'm sorry." He backed away.
"No!" I giggled. "Do it again!"
And with those words, a couple was born. But this was only the good start to some bullshit.
