Chapter 18

The movie is set to launch in the fourth quarter of next year, and filming began this month, December. I was able to visit the set with Laxer to check on the casting as well. I'll be busier the coming months, because I've been asked to shoot for some social media content to help boost the movie's launch.

Si Laxer naman ay umuuwi rin sa Pilipinas. We are trying to make our long-distance relationship work, even though it usually lasts only a few days to a week at most. He'll be coming back to the US soon, though, because he says he can't stand missing me. Mayroong mga araw na dalawang araw pa lang buhat noong umalis siya ay bumalik din agad siya rito sa US.

I've also decided to also move into his condo. His reason? He says it's too spacious, and he feels lonely when he's there by himself. If you ask me, palusot niya lang 'yon para makasama ako. And honestly, I'm not complaining—I love being with him, too.

He even wanted to arrange a private plane so I could visit the Philippines, but lately I've had so much on my plate that all I want when I come home is to cuddle with him.

I was surprised when I got home today and found him already here, working on his laptop, wearing glasses that made him look ten times hotter. Nakakawala na agad ng pagod.

"Love, you're back!" I ran to him and immediately sat on his lap. I showered his cheek with kisses before resting my head on his chest, pressing myself into him. I heard him chuckle softly.

"I missed you!"

"You missed me huh? But you're the one who suggested this setup. Mabuti na lang at hindi kita nadatnan na umiiyak dahil miss mo na ako 'kundi ay hindi na ako aalis pa."

"But you need to be there. Your employees are waiting for you. You're the best at what you do as CEO, and if you fail, they could lose their jobs, and I don't want to be the cause of that," I replied seriously.

"I can still work just fine even if I'm here, so don't stop me when I want to be home. You're my only home. Look at you—you always deny that you miss me too much, but here you are, all clingy. And I love it." He cupped my face and kissed me passionately. He then removed my blazer, exposing my bare back.

I began moving on top of him slowly as I kissed him more, but he wouldn't allow me to take the lead. I felt him close his laptop from the back and focused on devouring my lips down to my neck until he reached my chest. He stopped right there and met my gaze with so much intensity.

"I love you."

"But why'd you stop," I pouted, feeling a playful frustration. He laughed, clearly teasing me. I hid my face against his chest, feeling the warmth of my blush as I realized how excited I was. I could still feel him close to me, and I bit my lip, trying to steady myself. I felt him carefully lift my hair to tie it up. He always keeps a hair tie on his wrist, besides his watch. It's something I often use when I need it, and it's his little way of letting everyone know he's taken.

He tied my hair, then gently lifted my chin so I could look at him. "I love you so much," he whispered, his eyes full of sincerity. "I just want to be with you. Nothing else matters to me but you. Only you."

He pressed a soft kiss to my forehead, then moved to my cheek. "Sana ganito rin ang nararamdaman mo para sa akin, palagi," he said, his voice tender. Then, with a smile, he kissed my neck, his lips lingering.

As he kissed me, I felt the heat of his touch, knowing that the marks he left would stay with me—something I didn't mind at all. I could always cover them if I needed to, but the truth was, I didn't care anymore.

"I love you, Laxer." I whispered, my breath coming in shallow gasps.

Nagpaalam ako kina Mommy at Daddy na kasama ko si Laxer upang magdiwang ng Pasko. Ito ang unang pagkakataon na magkasama kaming magdidiwang pagkatapos ng ilang taon. Mas pinili naming kami na lang ang maghahanda, kaysa ang magpa-deliver na lamang.
