Josh's' pov
Maya texted me on Monday telling me that one of her favorite underground bands was going to play an hour away from us on Saturday. I had replied to her with a lie and told her that there was no way I could make it, being that I had a ton of school work to catch up on. I figured that it would be more Romantic if I surprised her and quickly got online and purchased tickets to the small venue. I showed up at her house unexpected an hour and a half before the show. Her face lit up at seeing my face upon answering the door. "What're you doing here?" She asked as she leaned in to kiss me. "It's a surprise" I winked, grabbing her hand and dragging her to my car. "Where are we going?" "Oh, Miss Hart. That would ruin the surprise" "but-" she began I put a finger to her lips effectively silencing her. "No more questions" she put on an expression of mock anger. I kissed her "you're cute when you're menacing" she scowled and we both had to laugh. We got to the venue and her face lit up "no way! You actually are bringing us here?" "Anything for my girl" we had got there just in time and so we had to hurry and find a place to stand. Unfortunately everybody was already here so we had to stand toward the back. Maya's height made it hard for her to see "here get on my shoulders." I lifted her up on my shoulders and we watched the whole concert that way. I drove her home after the concert "thanks for tonight josh! It was amazing!" "Glad you enjoyed it" I smiled before getting back in my car and driving home.
