For the next several days Kyra had to join in on destroying three more villages in addition on killing five more men that were disobeying. Being only nineteen, she had earned the respect over the rest of them men.

Since their fight, Gideon had kept his distancing. He understands as she has all rights to be mad at him but she doesn't know the story behind it.

"You need to talk to him." Adrianus advice as he could see it in her eyes that she misses him.

"How?" she rubbed her eyes, "How can I knowing that he raped someone?"

Sighing, her father come over and sat down beside her, "On my first battle we were under Lord Dracon. He didn't care about no one but himself and power as he order all the first time men to take a female.

He ordered the female warriors to make the man of the house watch. Then when we were done, the women would kill them while their women watched. Gideon was under the same Lord his first time out.

Pain overwhelmed her as she didn't know what to say. She had heard that Lord Dracon was cruel. She was only tin when he was killed in battle. Two more Lords took his place before Lord Virote arrived.

Knowing their story didn't make her feel better it made her feel worse but it did help her understand. It was only once under orders, not on his own free will which she felt better about.

"I do miss him." Her voice was low.

"Then go. Talk to him. I know he misses you too." her father encouraged. "I can see it in both your eyes."

Closing hers, she felt them stinging from the sun beating down one them. "When I find the best time to talk to him. I will."

An hour before sunset they found a place that time had forgotten. With what to have appeared to be tall buildings where now rubble as the forest had taken back what it had lost over centuries ago.

As they were setting up camp, "I saw a lake nearby." Kyra said as she grabbed some soap she had taken from one of the village they had destroyed.

"That's a good idea." her father agreed, "The water will help with your wounds that haven't completely healed yet. Especially your shoulder that you have been working and reopening."

Kyra couldn't help but shrug as she walked out.

The water felt so wonderful against her bare skin. She could already feel her magic using the water to help heal her faster.

Once all the blood, sweat and dirt was off and a clean sensation came over. Kyra tossed the soap on the bank and started to relax in the water. Her small cuts had already healed as she shoulder still liked a little more time as well as the other recent deeper cut she had received.

Keeping Kyra safe, Gideon watched from a distance. She looked so free and innocent like someone her age should. It was killing him not able to hold her, kiss her every chance he can.

He wasn't getting any younger as he was ready for a family. He has a beautiful wife who loves him just as much as he loves her. He knew that she would give him some wonderful kids, but now that they are at war. His dream of a family will never come be reached.

"Would you like to join me?" her soft shy voice broke through his thoughts.

"Humm?" he wasn't sure if he heard her correctly.

"Would you like to join me?" she smiled shyly.

"Did...How long have you know I was here?" was a stupid question to asked as he knew she had the power to see so far through her minds eye.
