Hi guys! So This is a new story I started. I have had the idea for a while now. I finally have time to actually write it! Yay! Hopefully some people will like it. I love it, but Bucky is bae. Love at first sight is real. It might be a little slow at first, but it will get better. :D

Beep Beep Beep

Man that is annoying.

My eyes fluttered open to be blinded.

I finally was able to fully have my eye open. I looked around to see multiple wires and pumps attached all over my body.

Even an oxygen mask was on my face.

I guess everything was a bit worse than expected.

"Ms. Baker? My, my, aren't you a lucky little duck." A nurse came in and patted my hair. I tried to move away from the touch, but I cried out in pain.

THEY really did a number on me.

"Here's some water. Do you remember anything?" She asked again once she helped me drink the water. I believe I can actually talk a little now.

"I remember all of it. Until the explosion. Then it is all black." I answered quietly.

"All of it? The extraction or the imprisonment?" The nurse looked at me with pity and sorrow in her eyes.

"The torture to the sleepless nights. I remember my squad being killed. My mangled body being pulled from the burning Humvee. All of it." I answered again, but with a bit more force than the first time.

"I'm so sorry. I truly am. Hopefully you will get to feeling better. We called your closest of kin, being Natasha Romanov. She will be here within the hour to escort you home. You should be completely healed in eight to ten weeks. You were in a coma for about six months. We didn't think you were going to pull through the first few months. Glad you did." She calmly explained while re-dressing my wounds.

"Okay. Can I walk or did that get messed up too?" I fearfully asked. I have to be able to walk. Please...

"The Doctor was able to completely fix your leg. Your back, ribs, lungs, stomach and head injuries are the main issues. None are life threatening anymore. Except the lung and head. Those are to be closely monitored." She finished up and helped me to sit up on the side of the bed.

I wheezed and coughed a little until my breathing evened back out.

This is going to suck.
