The bus was turning to the right when my face almost got smashed at the window. The past 15 Minutes were one of the strangest, but also best minutes ever. I have never actually had the opportunity meeting up at a place with people I have actually never met.

"There were are", Jackson said next to me, with his still somehow unfamiliar voice.

"I'm honestly really excited. I can't thank you enough Jackson, i'm seriously so happy you got in touch with me. I really wanna know what my social future is gonna look like." He laughed.

I looked over to the other seat, where Chris was getting a chewing gum from his pocket, looking out the window. He didn't speak a single word during the drive. Did Jackson and him didn't get along so well? But they are in one companioned group, basically. Maybe he just was like that. Peaceful, silent and hushed. And maybe reserved. I wondered if he had a girlfriend.

We exited the bus and Jackson winked at the driver. They must have  known each other.

"Jacks!" I saw a girl walking towards Jackson and slightly hugging him, his arms against her waist. "I'm glad you came Nat. This is Rain, she's gonna be in our grade after the break."

"Oh I am so happy  to meet you. I really hope you're gonna join us. We always welcome new cool people."

Was she serious? Cool? Me?

"Thank you, Natalie. Right?", I smiled.

"Tell me, I'm still a little curious. How does Jackson know you?" , she asked me. She was really beautiful, had a perfect smile and long, blond hair, that seemed wet and sandy from the beach. Her and Jackson would make up the ideal couple.

"Funny story to be honest right now guys.  I arrived just yesterday. Someway Jackson already knew we were gonna move in, I guess our parents already talked. Anyway, he came over yesterday telling me that he wanted to introduce me to my future classmates." I tried to speak as confident and relaxed as possible.

"That's great to hear."

I didn't really hear her recent words, as I was fixed on something else. I looked around the location we met in, the Thrift Shop next to the Beach Cafe was dazzlingly fascinating. A tiny vintage shop with a sign saying "Lukas' Antiquate Thrift Shop, Since 1979". Beside the precious view that took me back to the chilling, nostalgic 80's, although I wasn't born back that time, there was Chris looking at the window pain of the Shop. Why wouldn't he come and sit next to us on the lawn seat? From far, I would stare at him for a second, when he suddenly turned around, as he had seen that I was looking at him. He came closer. Horrifically I started to sweat. Why?! Why would I get nervous?! We never actually talked. But he was so stunning. I should stop seeking his face, I told myself.

Have you ever seen a husky in real life? They are so adorable, and really pretty. But the most special feature they have were the Ice blue eyes. I thought I saw a husky baby in front of me, when Chris, all of a sudden, stood in front of me. We looked into each others without saying a word. There was zero awkwardness during this perfect moment. His eyes engraved themselves in my face. Then, I felt my heart getting a cut, when he turned to the left, greeting Natalie. Why was he so strange.

Now, Jackson, Natalie and me were laying on the grassy section of the beach, behind the thrift shop. We looked into the sky as I talked about my old school and friends. And my Home.

Somehow we ignored the time, and sat there for a timeless period. I was laying next to Jackson with one meter distance between us. On the Right, Natalie was almost sleeping. I smelled Jackson familiar, strong Aftershave as I slowly closed my eyes. What were we doing here? This day was perfect, and I breathed in the salty beach air. I think we were gonna swim in a few days, when we're all together, with Taylor. And probably Trish, that Jackson mentioned.

"Guys, I really want some Ice cream.", Natalie randomly questioned. "Let's go get some." Without saying a word, Chris and Jackson stood up getting us some. There were so suave.

They came back, each of them holding one ice cream cone. They didn't get one for themselves. How could they resist getting some on this beautiful summer day?

Jackson handed his to mine, and Chris gave Natalie one with Strawberry flavor. It fitted to her: sweet and lovable. If Chris had an ice cream that would fit to him, it would be Mint Chocolate Chip. Dreamlike prodigious, sweetened, and cold as ice.
