Chris and Jackson stayed for a while, until Jack's Mom called him on his Phone. She was asking him to pick up some stuff for dinner.
"I really hope I didn't get infected from your Bacteria, Rain.", Jackson confessed, laughing. I blushed and shook my head.
"You know I'm joking right", he revealed while stepping forward to the door.
"I think I'll never get used to your jokes."
"You will.", I suddenly heard Chris say, standing behind me. I somehow loved it when he sneaked from behind. That made him even more secretive and unreachable.
"I'm glad you guys came over. I'll remember to buy more snacks next time.", I announced.
"It's okay Rain. Oh, and next time I hope Tris and Nat can also visit you too."
I nodded, agreeing.

Jackson left the house without saying another word, and headed over to his house next door. While Chris still stood next to me, not willing to leave yet.
"I don't wanna go."
Silence. We looked at each other again, like we were about to kiss. Again, we stood still looking, at each other's faces. I felt my skin getting warmer. He really didn't want to go. His mouth slightly opened, but he wasn't about to kiss me.
"How is that possible? To sense a feeling, so extraordinary, so unusual? And unfamiliar? Within a person you do not know for a long period of time? I have no clue how this is possible. It feels so right to be with you. Even when there's space in between us, there is a joint. Even if we do not know who we are, yet. I don't care for how long we know each other. But I what I know, is that there is more. There's a horizon out there that we haven't reached yet. There is a feeling so deep inside of you and Me that words cannot describe. I can feel it. I want to take you at a place only you and I know, and that's our connection. When I look at you, at your eyes, so beautiful I can't think straight, I see something different. I know you feel the same Rain. Let me show you all these things. Life is beautiful. Life is art. Life is more than we think it is: If you spend your time with people you cherish, tender, you have an infatuation with. That is what I have for you. You do not know yet: But we have something other people cannot see. Our connection is unpredictable, unreliable, and erratic. This isn't just two teens who like each other. This is beauty. I'm sure you can emphasize with my saying.
I want to spend time with you sitting at the shore, listening to french music and teenage bands. I want to look into your eyes until I get dizzy. I want to always keep this connection. Live in the Moment, Rain. Live in the yesterday, now, and tomorrow. Let me join you. This quaint emotion has an even more important meaning to me than poetry.
The day I got to spend with you today lighted my inner emotions up. Words I've always tried to pull out to someone. Someone I like. Someone I feel connected with. When I look at you, I can feel those words and feelings repeating over and over again. I adore it. I adore you."
I stood there, feeling my eyes tear. I have never heard someone telling me what they feel, from their deep soul. These seconds were one of the most beautiful I have ever experienced. His voice, his phrases, his feelings, were even more beautiful than our first kiss. How can someone be so beautiful inside? How?
While I looked at his eyes while he spoke, I heard the Song "Bel Air" from Lana del Rey playing inside my head. It matched his conscience.
I couldn't function any otherwise, rather than crying my soul out, falling into his strong but soft arms. I didn't want to be anywhere else. This was where I wanted to be. This was where I felt safe. Here, in his arms, the world stood still. In his presence I felt beautiful.
"I really like you, Chris."
And then he stepped out the door.
