"I realised that I was thinking of you, and I began to wonder how long you'd been on my mind. Then it occurred to me: Since I've met you, you've never left."

~ Chapter 3: I'm in Love with A Nerd ~

My phone vibrated against my thigh as Carly, Freddie and I were lounging around at Carly's living room, watching some horror film.

We've been watching this ever since we finished iCarly about half an hour ago.

If there is one thing that I love the most, it's horror movies. So this person better be worth my time for texting me, right at the juicy part of the movie.

Freddie looked over to me, his eyes slightly clouded in fear. "Who texted you?"

"I don't know," I fished my PearPhone from my cargo pants' pocket. The light that shone from my phone was the only source of light. Well, apart from the TV.

A blocked number appeared and I scrunched my eyebrows. Who the heck is this? I must know the person, since I blocked them. I read over the text and my mind raced as it tried to figure out who this mystery person was.

It's not Freddie, because, well, he's sitting right next to me and I would have seen him texting since the room is really dark. Also, he could have just whispered whatever he wanted to say to me into my ear.

It can't be Carly because, she's also sitting next to me and I haven't blocked her on my phone. I'm sitting in between  Carly and Freddie, so it's not these two.

Mentally, I went through the list of people that I've blocked on my phone.

Let's see....

My parole officer.

Freddie.

My crazy aunt Matilda.

Melanie -

Sucking in my breath, I sat up straight. I know who was texting me. Of course!

"No!" I stood up and groaned as I clutched onto my PearPhone. For frustration, I threw it to the ground and kicked it. It glided all  over the floor to the kitchen.

"What's up, Sam?" Carly asked, grabbing the remote and hitting pause on the movie.

"Why'd you kick your phone?" Freddie added, quite puzzled. "I thought you just got it last week,"

Huh, 'quite' puzzled.

Quite.

Carly Shay's vocabulary is finally rubbing off on me.

"I don't care at this point on how much this stupid phone costs. Right now, I'm clearly upset at it, as you can see!" I grumbled.

"Sam," Carly frowned. "Who texted you?"

"One guess," I gave her that look.

You know, the good thing about a best friend, is that you know almost anything about each other. You know their likes, their passions, their dislikes...

Let's focus on dislikes, shall we? Your best friend knows the one person that you hate - oh I'm sorry - dislike the most. And they know that look that you give them whenever they are around or mentioned.
