"How many have you had before me?"

Niall looked up from the cutting board and looked straight at Harry. Niall cooked the food and that was in the contract. Harry smiled a little bit and fiddled with the wineglass.

"You know I think that the numbers aren't..."

Niall frowned and he chose to interrupt him.

"I want to know!" he said firmly. "I mean, it's only fair that I get to find out who I really am in the line of lovers?"

Harry looked up and actually he showed a reaction.

"You're not my lover?"

Niall put down the knife and he cleared his throat a little. This was an important issue for Niall.

"What am I, then?" he whispered hoarsely. "I can't sleep in your bed, but I wake up next to you. You say you love whipping boys, but yet you soft. You say so many things as don't follow the pattern I had expected."

Harry blushed a little. He looked into the glass and he seemed almost embarrassed.

"You're the first one I..." He become silent. Niall swallowed and he felt that he was close to an answer.

"What am I?"

Harry took a deep breath and he swallowed.

"I don't know!" and it was an honest answer. "All I know is that I want you here and I want to own the right to let my hands be all over your body." Harry looked up at Niall. "I can't explain it, but I'm desperate for your signature."

Niall hesitated.

"And why do I need to sign that contract?" he asked. "I don't need a contract to remain with you. It's enough with you, Harry!"

Direct Harry stood up and he walked to the end of the kitchen, with his back to Niall. He seemed tense and he didn't seemed nearly as soft as before.

"It's important to me!" he said firmly and almost angrily. "I need your consent and I need to be sure that you also want this."

Niall didn't know what to say. He looked down on his hands and he tried to get up to all the questions as he had.

"You already have my consent ..."

Harry spun around and he threw up his arms in the air.

"But I need that!" he almost shouted. "I have to know that you have signed a contract and the fact that you want the same as me."

Niall looked up at him and he noted that Harry was serious.

"But I have done it voluntarily until now?"

Harry growled.

"But Niall, do we really need to make a fuss about such a simple little thing?"

Niall swallowed.

"For me it means more than a simple little thing." he replied hoarsely. "I know you want all that as I've read in your paper, but why aren't you happy with me like this, like I am right now?"

Harry raised his hands and pulled them through his own dark hair.

"Because I just work in this way." he growled cold. "I need to be sure about everything."

Niall realized he had trampled on a toe. He looked down at the knife and in silence, he began to make the salad. He felt small. Why, couldn't Harry understand that Niall was pleased with this, what they had. Niall didn't care what was on the paper, as long as Harry showed him the way.
