So Italy was a bust. Ansley didn't get to do any sight seeing. Soon as she got ready to leave Bella, Alice, and, who she assumed and later found out she was correct was, Edward burst through the door of the hotel room declaring they had to hurry back to Forks. Texting her dad the plane info when they got to the airport in Italy, poppa Yazzie responded way to fast with an 'I'll be there early'.

The plane ride seemed to go by rather quickly seeing as she slept most of it. Duffle bag on her shoulder she took the lead while the other three took their sweet time whispering about something Ansley was too tired to care about.

"Are you sure you don't need a ride home?" Alice double checking feeling slightly bad about the trip.

First they left her alone at the hotel, now they were leaving her alone at the airport.

"Yeah. My dad says he's picking me up." Ansley assured.

"Ansley, thanks for coming with me." Bella smiled at her older friend.
"You're welcome. I wouldn't feel right letting you go all that way alone. I mean not alone but, well you know what I mean."

They shared an awkward laugh. Not from Ansleys rambling, but because both girl knew how much trouble they were going to be in. Hell, Ansley was grown and she knew her dad was still going to tear into her ass. Speaking of her dad, she could see his truck pulled up into the passenger pick up zone a few yards down.

"There's my dads truck." Ansley gestured as the four of them exited the airport through the automatic doors. "I'll see you later."

She hugs Bella, then Alice before holding her hand out to Edward.

"It was nice meeting you." Edward smiled small shaking her hand gently.
"You too. I'm glad you're....better," with an awkward smile

She waved slightly as she walked away.

"Ok, dad, before you say anything" she put her seat belt on before turning in his direction. "I'm sorry you were worried but-"

She stopped talking and blinked hard.

"Ansley." Sam greeted with a slight smirk.
"Oh. You are not my daddy." She deadpanned while he shrugged.
"There have been a few times I can recall otherwise."
Eyes growing wide Ansley's mouth hung open slightly.
"Did you just- you- let me out."
"I'm afraid I can't do that." He chuckled as he pulled off.

Pouting Ansley buckled her seatbelt without another word to the Quillete boy before sitting back and staring out the window. The ride was silent for a while; Sam just enjoying being in her presence - Ansley not knowing what to say.

"Why are you here instead of my dad?" She blurted out 20 minutes in to the ride filled with uncomfortable silence.

"Gee Ansley, I thought you'd be happy to see me."
"Bite me." She sassed.
"Don't tempt me" he winked. "Anyway, your dad was at work and thought it would be a good idea for me to pick you up. So we could talk."
"I should've jumped out the fucking car."

She didn't sign up for this but knew exactly what her father was doing. In the short amount of time she'd been back in Washington her dad had been telling her to talk to Sam and forgive him. Poppa Yazzie, knowing how short life was, didn't believe in holding grudges and didn't want his daughter to make that mistake.
