My back muscles clentched, and I rolled my shoulders uncomfortably.
'Ember, you okay?' Gryf question, looking at me suspisciously. I shrugged and walked around the lot, glancing at the cars. None had caught my attention yet, and it was getting on my nerves. I kept looking around, until a color caught my eye. It was a bright green. I padded over, more than curoius, and squealed, making Gryf cover his ears. I snickered, than pointed excitedly at the vehicul. It was lime-green 4 door Jeep Rubicon. I skipped all around it, touching, admiring. I found my perfect ride.
Gryf strutted away to find the car dealer, and I couldn't help but gasp when I looked into on my tippy toes. I mean it was huge! I knew not to try to open the door because they had to lock it to make sure no one key it and drove off. But I was itching to get in. The interior was 'decked out'. It had huge speakers, big comphy-looking seats, with grips everywhere for Jeep runs. My father took me on some drives, and I couldn't wait to do it myself. It was a standard, with raised wheels, and sleek lime paint with big lights mounted on the roof, along with a thick push bar. I felt as though I had to have it.
My bestfriend came back, dealer in tow. I held out my hand, confident that Gryf said I wanted to do a test run. The dealer hesitantly handed them over, where I snatched them out of his fingers, and leapt to the Jeep. My Jeep.
*** Skip the test drive ***
I turned into the car lot. Looking over at Gryf, I grinned. He held on to every grip he could hold, a terrified look on his face. I drove through every mud puddle I could find on the dirt road I knew so well, going on angles, and going up hills. He never had gone on a Jeep run before, and I had the privilage of freaking him out. For the first time, if I might add. Mud covered the entire bottom and wheels, kind of making it look like a funny looking chocolate bar.
The motor purred, as if it was happy for me. I turned down the blaring music from the speaker where I hooked up my iPod. I tried forgething the irritating clenching in my back and shoulders. It just wouldn't stop. Scowling, I jumped out from the open doors. The clerk looked up excited to make a sale, but his face fell when he noticed my own expression. Gryf came to my rescue.
'Her back is bothering her, no worries man.' He slapped him on the shoulder, making the clerk wobble. I laughed. Don't ever expect Gryffin to make it easy. I licked my lips, and nodded vigoursly. Mine mine mine, was all that ran through my head. The young dealers' face lit up, and he ushered us inside.
***skip all the boring paperwork....***
Giddy, I signed my name for the last time on the stack of papers pushed in front of me. After writing down so much, I just wanted to go to sleep. It was so boring, but I felt desperate for that jewel outside. Mine mine mine mine mine mine mine- my subconscience chanted on. I giggled, and finally stood up, stretching. My legs were cramped, and my shoulders kept twitching. Softly frowning, I rubbed my neck and walked out, excitement conceling my worry.
Gryffin saw me, and mocked falling asleep. Slapping him on his arm playfully, I tugged him up. He was WAY to big and muscular for me to EVER pull him to his feet. Chuckling, he stood up, and scratched his unshaven cheek. Yanking on his arm, I dramaticaly gasped when he stumbled. He looked down at me surprised, and my expression wavered. Didn't he do that on purpose...?
Shrugging it off, I yanked open the door of my old beetle, grabbing some of my ex-work papers, and my wallet. I kissed the wheel, and hugged the seat, red hair waving in the breeze. 'I'll miss you old girl.' I whispered into the fabric.
Stepping out, and handing over her keys sheepishly, while the clerk looked at me dumbfounded. I stuck out my tongue at him, and bounced my new keys in my palm. My back tightnened considerably, and I nearly grunted. It started to hurt like a bitch.
I stumbled to the jeep, hauling myself in and buckling up. Gryf just looked at me, a terrified look on his face when I reeved the enigine, pain forgotten. Laughing, I sped out of the car lot, squealing the new tires and flinging mud everywhere as I drove towards my apartemnt to get my stuff, along with Cruize.
Hold on baby, I'm coming for you.

A/N: Hey guys, or whoever is kind enough to read the boring parts so far of this story, and no, I'm going to keep writing THIS chapter, just wanted to say hi, and that I'm going to write more. Although I don't know hw much more. Anyway, yeah, here we go.

Pulling into the parking lot, I grinned at my neighbors, and glanced up to my floor, where I saw Cruize howling at the intruder and barking his head off at the window. He paused, looked down, and barked even louder, jumping off, and racing to what I presumed to be the door.
My neighbors looked at the vehicul, awestruck as I exited the Jeep. Then they noticed me, huffed, and turned away. I looked at Gryffin, and clutched my chest dramticaly, wiping away an imaginary tear. He laughed and threw his arm over my shoulder, beckoning me inside. Locking the Jeep, I shrugged him off and followed.
Stopping in front of the door, I gestured for Gryffin to be quiet. Cruize padded in front of the door, nails clicking on the floor. Giggling, I unlocked the door, and pulled it open. Cruize leapt at me, barking happily. he pushed me down from his weight, and I felt him lick his warm all over my neck when I tilted away to catch my breath. I gasped and inhaled sharply when his tongue accidentaly brushed over my sweet sopt, and I pushed him away. I felt something touch my mind, and I jerked back. It stopped its ache. I blinked, confused, when I saw Gryf standing stiffly, back turned to me. He then relaxed a bit, and stalked into the apartment. Cruize hopped after him. I saw Gryffin smile at him, and bent down to hug his thick neck. I thought I saw him whispering into the dogs' ear, but I closed my eyes, and shook my head vigorously, and opened them to see them leave the room.
I chewed my bottom lip, and walked into my small room, not looking at the mirror that freaked me the night before. Grabbing my suitcases, I hauled them out, snatching Cruizes leash on my way. As I walked out, I saw Gryffin stand up, and reach his hand to help me. I reluctantly handed him one, and he just snatched the other from my hands as well. I shook my head, and shoved my laptop into its protective casing.
Slinging it over my shoulder, I almost cried out in pain. There was something wrong with my back, or something. It felt as though my skin was going to rip open. My mind flashed back to the mirror last night, and I shuddered, as the pain subsided. Cruize even looked at me suspisciously, before grabbing the leash in his teeth and puling me down the hall to the door. I chuckled, and locked the door, wincing as my shoulder muscles twisted and clentched. Cruize shook his fur, and padded down the hall, looking over his shoulder protectively at me to make sure I followed.
He bolted out of the door, and spun around the new Jeep, sniffing, but keeping his paws to himself. I smiled. Good dog. I grinned as I watched Gryffin open the back door, and picked up a kicking Cruize, pushing him in to Jeep. I buckled him in, and chuckled as he did his usual thing in a vehicule. He sat up straight like a human, and only poked his head into the front cab when something new was presented. He didn't even lean his head out of the window like a normal dog, only looked out, even with the window rolled down.
Laughing wildy, I blasted the song Off With Her Head by Ghost Town. The whole Jeep pulsed and both Gryf and I head banged, him more than I, because I had to focus on the road. Cruize howled along, and I never had felt so alive.
