The next morning, Ella groggily woke up after not getting enough sleep. She couldn't stop thinking about yesterdays conversation with Henry. She didn't know how she would face Jefferson today and she knew she couldn't avoid him forever. While making herself some coffee, Emma walked through the door and waved at her.
"Morning, sleepyhead!" cheered Emma.
Ella gave Emma a blank stare as she stirred her cup.
"What?" said Emma
"Why didn't you tell me the truth about this town?"
Emma paused and dropped her keys on the counter.
"Henry told you didn't he?"
"He showed me the book..and my past ." said Ella.
Emma sighed and walked towards Ella.
"Listen El, I was going to tell you-"
"When? Emma you should have told me from the start. What if Jefferson did something and I freaked out and wacked him with a lamp?! "
"Okay now your over reacting-"
"Emma I can't even remember my life with my parents anymore! I can hardly remember there faces...The longer I stay here the less I remember from before! I feel like I'm going mad." she sighed and rubbed her eyes.
"I should have told you and I'm sorry I didn't. I just didn't want you to freak out and skip out on me. I mean who can believe that their life is actually based on fairy tale?" said Emma.
Ella raised her hand.
"Me?" said Ella
They both laughed and Emma walked over to Ella and gave her a bear hug.
"Okay, Okay I forgive you, now let go! I have to get ready or I'll be late." said Ella as she raced back to her room. Emma laughed and took a sip out of Ella's coffee mug. She was kinda glad Henry told her everything because that way... she wouldn't have to.

Once Ella reached the hat shop, she did a little prayer in her head that everything would go smoothly and it wouldn't be awkward with Jefferson. She opened the door to find him flipping through the newspaper and gently petting a cat that was sitting on the counter.
"Good morning..." she said hesitantly.
Jefferson looked up from the paper and smiled.
"Ah, Ella! Good morning! Are you feeling better yet sweetie?- Ahem, I mean Ella?" he blushed and put his head down in embarrassment.
Ella noticed the comment and blushed as well.
"Yes I am, thank you. I didn't know you had a cat!" she said.
Jefferson smiled and looked down at the cat and stoked it's fur.
"Yes, he's very dear to me. His name is Shadow." he said fondly.
Ella smiled and walked over to them. Shadow looked up at her curiously and tilted his head. He then nuzzled himself into her hand and purred.
"Thats strange, he usually hates people near him. You must be very special Ella.." Jefferson said.
"Well's he is very adorable." said Ella. She looked back up at him and nervously fidgeted with her hands.
"Uhm..Jefferson?"
"Yes, dear?" said Jefferson while smiling.
"I wanted to talk to you about something...about yesterday."
