15.Let Me Go With You♡

After Jeffersons visit with Regina (by visit I mean barging in) he headed of the Grace's school to pick her up. He noticed Emma and Hook sitting on a bench across the street and made his way over to them.

"Well, if it isn't the Mad Hatter! You know I've always wanted to say that name." said Hook as Jefferson walked towards them.

"Hook stop it. Jefferson! Good to see you." said Emma as she stood up from the bench to shake his hand.

"You too. Listen I was wondering if I could have a word with you Emma.."

"Yeah sure, Hook behave yourself."

"Aye, Aye Swan."

Jefferson and Emma walked a few feet away from Hook and in front of a store. He hesitated for a moment, but calmed down when Emma put a hand on his shoulder.

"Regina told me everything already." she said.

"What?! But I just-"

"She has a habit of teleporting during my free time."said Emma as Jefferson sighed and brushed his hand through his hair.

"So, you'll help us?" he asked hopeful.

"On one condition." she said. Jefferson nodded for her to continue.

"You tell Ella everything thats been going on. After everything she's been through she deserves to know the truth. God forbid something happens to you and she will never know what caused it."

Jefferson sighed and looked up when he heard the bell ring. He looked back towards the school and saw Grace's coming out of the building with her friends. He saw how happy she looked as she talked with her friends and his heart began to ache. How was he supposed to leave his family again? Sure it was to save them..But could he really pull it off this time?

He looked back at Emma and nodded his head.

"Deal."

Emma smiled and turned around and headed back towards where Hook was waiting. Jefferson did the same and waved over to Grace for her to come to him.

"Papa!" she said as she ran towards him. She hugged his waist tightly and he ruffled her hair.

"How was school sweetheart?" Grace pulled away from him and took his hand in hers as they started to walk down the street.

"Well today we learned a new song in my music club! I still need one of my violins strings fixed though papa, remember?"

Jeffersons eyes widened.

"Ah! Sorry honey, I forgot about that."

Grace frowned and stopped walking while letting go of Jeffersons hand. He turned around and tilted his head at her.

"Whats wrong? I promise I'll fix the violin-"

"Papa you've been acting strange lately. You're...acting like before."said Grace as she looked at her feet.

"Like before?" said Jeffersons he walked towards her.

"When you left me and Mama...You're..leaving somewhere again aren't you?" she said. Jefferson sighed and bent down to Grace's eye level.

"Grace...the place I'm going involves...dangerous things. I'm doing this for you and Mama.."

"Thats what you said last time! You never came back! Why can't I go with you this time?!" said Grace as she began to cry.

Jefferson sighed and pulled her into his arms.

"G-Grace, Please try to understand-" Grace pulled away from him and glared at him.
