Bea Ashby:

It's been two months since the last time I've seen Justin.

Two full months

I absolutely got no information about his most recent whereabouts or how he was doing. Nothing at all. Jennifer and dad were always whispering in the corner if they ever had to discuss something that had to do with the boy from the jungle. Whenever I came around, they'd instantly change the subject.

They were hiding something form me and it obviously has to do with Justin.

As a distraction for all of us, Jennifer and dad have started making lots of wedding arrangements.

I was never too keen on the idea of Jennifer becoming my step mom, especially the idea of having Noah as my step brother. But ever since Justin got here, the last couple months had been a little different. I can officially say I can withstand the once annoying asshole and that Jennifer wasn't so bad.

Jennifer and dad haven't picked a date for the wedding yet, but they were thinking sometime around May-July. They started looking at their options last week and making the final decision today.

The days have gone colder and I've been busy with school. I was currently seated by the window, doing some homework when I heard the front door open. I frowned, putting down my pencil. Jennifer wasn't going to be home this week since she's gone to Milan for an important meeting and Noah was gone at a friend's place.

Standing up, I walk to where the front door was open and gasp when I see who was at the front door.

Justin.

Justin was here.

I blinked a few times, shaking my head. Were my eyes deceiving me or was he really here? He didn't seem to notice me yet as he kept his gaze on the floor. He seemed to have changed over the past two months that I didn't see him.

His already long hair had grown out a bit more and fully skimmed his shoulders. There was also a weird vibe coming off him. I'm not sure how to explain it, but he just.... didn't seem the same.

Dad soon entered the house and he saw me first. "Oh Bea, how are you?" He casually asks.

My mouth opens and closes like a fish. Why was he acting so calm and as if nothing had happened? Justin didn't look up from the mention of my name. I felt my chest go tight.

What happened when he was stuck in isolation?

Dad pats Justin's shoulder and I watch in confusion as the boy from the jungle walked to the staircase and went upstairs, still keeping his head down.

Dad and I listened in silence as Justin walked the halls. When the door to his old bedroom had just closed that was when dad spoke up.

"He hasn't been himself lately and I'm not sure he will be himself anytime soon. Give him some space." Was all he said, sighing before walking right past me and to his office.

"Has he talked to you at all since he's come home?" Jamie whispered next to me at the table.

"Nope." I replied, moving my food around on my plate.

Justin doesn't leave his room that much and when he does, he's escorted by my dad who's constantly talking to him in a hushed tone. Justin never responds anymore either, or so I've heard dad say to Jennifer two days ago.
