I woke up to a bright light. Once my eyes adjusted to the light, I saw lots of people in the hospital room. My foot was wrapped in a big cast thingy, and hung up by something attached to the ceiling.
"Hi honey!" My mom cheered, "Your surgery went perfectly, but the doctor says he wants you here overnight because he doesn't want you to move." She explains. I nod sleepily, and drink the ginger ale I'm handed by a nurse. Katie rushes over to me, and we both squeal, like we hadn't seen each other in months. She gives me flowers and I thank her, and we hug some more. Brennan comes over and hugs me, mom and dad now know we're dating and they have no problem with it. Hayley comes and snuggled in the bed with me.
Lots of other people come and visit throughout the day. Mom, Hayley, and Dad were all going to stay the night here, they didn't want to leave me here alone. Hayley and I slept in my decent sized bed, and watched Modern Family on the tv that was perched above my bed.
The next morning I woke up, and was waiting for the doctor to come in and make sure everything was ok, give me and cast and let me go home.
After what seemed like hours, the doctor said I was good to go home after I got my cast. I was going to have to come back every two weeks to have a checkup and in four weeks I would need a different cast. I chose and sparkly pink cast that covered my ankle and more.
I finally got to go home. Mom made pizza, and we ate it while making small talk. I was sitting on the couch reading when I heard my phone buzz.
Brennan- Hey babe, hope your feeling okay<3 is it okay if I come over for a little bit?
Annie- Of course, I would love to see my handsome boyfriend!
Brennan- Ok gorgeous, see you in ten.
Soon enough I heard the doorbell ring. I got on my crutches and went over to answer the door. Brennan greeted me with a kiss. I hobbled back over to the couch, and we snuggled and watched a movie. We watched If I Stay, which I loved. Brennan didn't really care, he just wanted to be with me. I was getting some water, which on my crutches have nearly impossible, when I heard Brennan gasp.
"What's wrong B?" I asked him.
"This." He said and handed me his phone.
It was a text from his friend Jake, saying how he was going to get Brennan back for dating me. I sighed.
"I never knew dating could be this hard." I complained.
"Yeah, but I still love you and that's all that matters right?" He asked.
"Totally." I giggled and we kissed.
Brennan soon had to go home, and I had to get some sleep.
It was 11pm, and I drifted off to sleep on the couch surrounded by the dogs.
