Today was the day Brennan was going to have surgery. Even though it was small, and could barely be life threatening, I was still terrified.
I talked to him this morning before he had to go. He wasn't nervousness. He trusted the doctors, and knew he was going to be okay. That gave reassuring feelings, but I was also really nervous.
It was noon, and me and Hay were sitting on the couch watching tv. Brennan went into surgery about an hour ago, but it was going to take almost 6 hours to complete.
Those next six hours were nerve wracking, and I could barely think about anything else. I tried to get my mind off of it, but I couldn't stop thinking about what could go wrong. I couldn't stand to lose somebody I love so much.
Soon it was 7pm, and Brennan was out of surgery. I was going to see him tomorrow morning. Suddenly my phone buzzed from my night stand.
-From Liv-
I hope Brennan dies in his surgery. I also hope you die too. Even if you did, you wouldn't be with Caleb. You'd be in hell.

A tear ran down my cheek. She just has to bring me down doesn't she.
-To Liv-
Don't you have something better to do than bring other people down? I wanted to be best friends like we used to be, but now I don't. You can say all you want about me, but I really don't appreciate you bringing my boyfriend and brother into this. Caleb especially deserves more respect than what he's getting from you.

I felt proud of what I had done, sticking up for me and the people I love.

Hayley all of a sudden runs into my room, her phone tight in her hand.
"Annie! Help! Liv is being so mean!"
I took Hayley's phone from her. There were dozens of texts from Liv alone saying nasty things about me, hay, Caleb, and most of our friends.
"Hay, I'm so sorry."
"It's not your fault, don't be sorry. What should I say?" If I've learned anything from being on social media, it's that being mean only makes things worse.
"Just be nice to her. You have to kill them with kindness." I told her. She smiled and sat on my bed as she wrote a nice of response as she could. We sat on the bed and talked for hours, and not one text came from Liv.

The next day, I got to see Brennan for the first time since his surgery. He was doing really well, and was coming home today from hospital. He wasn't able to walk, and he had a big bulging bandage on his chest. When I got to the hospital, I ran to see Brennan.
"B!" I yelled quietly as I ran to his beside. I kissed him on he forehead and hugged him. I was so happy to see him okay.

Hospitals were a bad place for me. The memories they bring back had nothing but pain behind them. The blank white walls, and the hospital smell made me want to throw up. A tear ran down my face as I look at Brennan. There was only one word running through my mind; Caleb.

Brennan kissed me and told me everything was going to be okay. I nodded, but deep down inside I knew it wasn't going to be. And boy was I right.
