I facetimed Brennan. The screen soon read 'connecting'.
"I love you." I said as soon as I saw Brennan's face.
"Annie.." Is all he said. I just sat there crying.
"It's not f-fair." I said as soon as I calmed down. "Why do all the good people die. He was going to do great things, I just know it."
"I know Ans. It sucks." He said.
We talked for some time, before I had to go.
--A COUPLE DAYS LATER--
Today was Caleb's birthday. He would've been turning 14. We're having a bunch of friends over to have a party and celebrate Caleb's life.
Mom never found out about Liv, so she invited her and her family. This'll be fun! -sarcasm-
"Annie!" Hayley called for me downstairs. I jogged down the stairs to see Hayley hanging up pictures and signs and things that remind us of Caleb.
"How does it look?" She asked nervously.
"Beautiful, I love it. Caleb would've too." I told her. I pulled Hayley into a hug as we both started to cry a bit.
"He's watching over us in Heaven." I whispered.

Lots of people have arrived already.
Katie, Via, Amanda, Mia, Arden, Liv, Sydney and Luke, lots of Caleb's baseball team, and all there families. We were all having fun, talking about Caleb, sharing memories, and making a good time out of the bad times.
All of the kids were outside playing. I saw Liv approaching me and some other people. I just turned my back and walked away. I wasn't going to let her get to me.
I soon spotted Brennan crying, Luke by his side. I rushed over.
"B, are you ok? What's wrong?" I asked very concerned. He wiped away some of the tears.
"Annie I promise, it's nothing. I'm ok."
"Brennan just stop. Your not ok. You wouldn't be crying if your okay."
"I just miss him so much." He whispered. I pulled him into a tight hug.
"He's watching us B."
I went back over to Katie and we talked for a bit. It started to get cold out so me and Katie went inside to the basement. We walked down the stairs to see the one and only Liv. I rolled my eyes and went over with Katie to the big area with mats to do front ariels. Liv approached us.
"Liv, you obviously hate me. Why are you even here?" I asked. "Please, it's not like I want to be. Now suck it up cause this lame party your having is no fun and its useless." She laughed. "Liv stop. I know you care about Caleb you just don't want to admit it. This party has a good reason and that's for Caleb. Now you should probably leave." I said. She walked away without another word. I went back to focusing on having fun with my real friends. Liv eventually left when she claimed she was feeling sick. Brennan came up and hugged me from behind. "Good for my baby girl for sticking up for herself and Caleb." He told me. I smiled at the fact that he had nicknames for me, and one was baby girl. Soon everyone had left to go home and it was just me, Hay, Brennan, Ryan and Katie. They were going to spend the night since me and Katie were going to gym together in the morning and Brennan and Ryan wanted to stay too. We got into our pajamas and went into the living room where we were sleeping. I was sleeping in between brennan and Hayley. We watched movies, laughed and talked. Ultimately it was a good night.
The next morning I woke up sunggled in Brennan's arms and Hayley leaning on me. I smiled at how cute both of them were. Soon everyone woke up and we ate breakfast. Katie and I made waffles then went to go get ready for gymnastics. Brennan and Ryan were going to be picked up by Mrs. Jill while my mom drove me, hayley and katie to gymnastics. Hayley recently started the homeschool program at the gym and is an official coral girl. We got to practice and did school, then worked on our meet routines. After practice, I was doing more school when I hear my phone ringing from across the room. I saw it was Katie and picked up. "Hey Katie. Everything alright?" She only usually ever texts me. I was scared. "Ans, I have bad news. Brennan, Ryan and my mom were in a car accident this morning." she told me. That's when the anxiety kicked in.
