{a rowdy clash is heard as the library door is shoved open and in strides a proud Jace Herondale followed by visibly annoyed Alec, embarrassed Clary, beaming Isabelle, confused Simon, stoic Josephine and kind Jocelyn}

{The Shadowhunters take their seats from the author, Clary and Jace quickly linking hands. The author fangirls internally, hiding her excitement by glancing at her question cards}
Jace:
*grins* thanks. Thank you for not killing me off yet in this story.
Author:
*laughs nervously* yeah...sure...you're welcome. So, Clary! What's been going on with you?
Clary:

{Alex stays silent, shrugging. Isabelle rubs his back, grimacing}
