'Happy Birthday Ginny!' A cry rung out as Ginny walked out of the front door and into the back garden where everyone was waiting for her.
'Wow!' She replied in awe, her hands raised to her face as she smiled in delight. She had a feeling that today would be great, after all Mrs Weasley liked to go all out when it came to birthdays, but she had no idea that it would be this good. She looked around at all of the smiling faces and couldn't be happier. 'Thanks everyone.'
'Let's get this party started!' Fred cried from on top of one of the tables, a bottle of fire whisky in each hand, swaying slightly as if these weren't his first.
'Fred Weasley!' Mrs Weasley shouted as she stormed across to were Fred was now hurriedly trying to get down from off the table. 'You may be of age but that doesn't mean you can get drunk and ruin your sister's birthday!'
Ginny couldn't help but giggle as she headed over to where Harry and Ron were sitting. Ron appeared to be sulking and Ginny couldn't help but laugh at the pathetic look on his face.
'What's up with you?' She asked.
'Mum confiscated the fire whisky that Fred bought for me and now he won't give me my money back.' He said miserably taking a sip of pumpkin juice. 'This sucks!'
'Hey!' Ginny cried. 'It's my birthday, you can't be miserable.'
'Happy Birthday Ginny,' Harry said with a smile that caused Ginny's heart to beat loudly inside her chest. 'I got you this,' he added handing her a small parcel wrapped in brown paper.
'Thanks Harry,' she smiled. 'I can't believe you got me a present.'
'It's nothing special,' Harry replied shrugging his shoulders.
'Well I'm sure whatever it is, it's lovely,' Ginny replied with a smile before turning to glare at Ron who was still sulking. 'Where's my present?' She demanded.
'Upstairs,' Ron continued to sulk.
'You're useless,' Ginny replied, stalking off and leaving the two boys.
'Harry!' Mr Weasley said happily taking a seat next to the two boys. 'How are you doing?' He added reaching out his hand towards Harry.
'I'm good Mr Weasley,' Harry replied shaking his hand.
'I do hope you're staying with us for the rest of the summer,' Mr Weasley said.
'Yes I am,' Harry replied. 'Dumbledore said that he had sorted it all out with you.'
'Wonderful,' Mr Weasley said. 'Now Harry, I have a very important question to ask you regarding a muggle invention I believe is called a Toaster. Now I hear...' Mr Weasley began, but Ron had heard more than he wanted to about Toasters and wondered about trying to find somewhere to sit where he wouldn't be disturbed.
He found a shaded spot at the end of the garden and sat down, slowly sipping at his pumpkin juice. He wished more than anything that he had planned to meet Hermione today, he was 100% sure that if he left now that not a single person would notice. That was an upside of having such a large family he thought with a laugh as he watched everyone around him.
He watched Fred and George who were showing a bunch of their younger, also red headed, cousins there new fireworks. Trying as hard as they could to keep them out of sight of Mrs Weasley. Mrs Weasley however was pre-occupied talking to Bill, and from what Ron could see she was still trying to convince him to cut off his ponytail.
It really was a lovely day, especially for a party and Ron knew how lucky he was to be surrounded by his whole family and yet he still felt completely alone.

'Are you still sulking about that fire whisky,' Harry asked a few hours later after everyone had gone home. Harry was unpacking a few of his things that had been moved here that afternoon from number 4, Privet Drive.
'No,' Ron sulked causing Harry to laugh, although both boys were clueless as to why Ron was really sulking. Even he wasn't too sure why, although he had a feeling it was probably something to do with Hermione.
Hermione, he thought with a smile that caused him to stop sulking for a moment so he could smile. He was practically counting down the minutes until he could meet her again, although how he was going to get away tomorrow without anyone realising he didn't know. Especially now that Harry was staying with them.
'Listen...' Ron began, deciding that there was no way he would be able to hide this from him.
'Thank you! Thank you!' Ginny cried running into Ron's bedroom and hugging Harry tightly.
'So you like it,' Harry replied with a laugh after Ginny pulled away.
'I love it,' Ginny said, lifting up her wrist to show a silver charm bracelet.
'Happy Birthday,' Ron muttered handing Ginny the book, which had been badly wrapped, slightly annoyed for the interruption. She ripped off the paper as quickly as possible and picked the book up in her hands, before turning to Ron with a shocked expression.
'What?' Ron asked.
'How did you know?' Ginny replied.
'Know what?'
'That I've wanted this book for months. Thanks Ron,' she replied and quickly hugged him too before turning and almost skipping out of the room.
'How did you know that's what she wanted?' Harry asked a moment later.
'Lucky guess,' he replied with a laugh, deciding that maybe he would try and keep Hermione a secret for a while longer.
