Chapter five, I smell you, I hear your breath~

Yesterdays news spread trough the camp fairly quick, and since today was friday, the campers had something more to worry about.

Capture the flag.

Percy avoided the campers easily, just staying with his sisters was enough, seeing as the group hated boys and had a fued going on with the Aphrodite cabin.

Zoë had had a dream about his mom, she was captured, somehow, on a mountain top somewhere, and Artemis' son was determined to go save her. But they had no lead. Though he suspected Zoë knew more, because she hesitated when she told them.

Percy wondered if she'd be alright, for one because she did seem pretty pale, but also because he'd seen the worry on Zoë's face when she told them about the dream.

Zoë rarely showed emotion.

first he'd had to scare that blasted satyr away, he didn't hate Grover really, but camping outside of the Artemis cabin was kind of extreme.

And the there was the thing with Zoë and Thalia. What happened between them for them to hate eachother so unconditionally? The moon prince did not know.

Not that he wanted to know.

Their plan was simple; distract the campers, let Zoë get the enemy flag.

Percy stood guard at the creek, his golden bow and a quiver of arrows strapped to his back.

He scanned the treeline at the other side and saw archers in the trees, along with the shadow of Athena's child.

Typical.

So very Typical.

Percy notched a blunt arrow and quickly shot her between the eyes. The arrow bounced of and the girl crumpled to the ground, her baseball cap falling of in the process.

Thats when Hugo(read Huge Ego, shoutout to JakeDubber ) trudged out of the woods with Ares' sons. "The son of Artemis, all alone? I would've thought you'd hide behind the huntress'. Oh well easier for us...".

They stalked up to the son of Artemis like a cat watching its prey, hands at the handle of their weapon of choice as though they hadn't deciden wheter he was a friend or foe just yet.

Percy's muscles tensed, and his eyesight became sharper, like he could see what his foes were going to do. He could smell the forest, metal, water and the sharp scent of sweat mixed with the boys own personal odor. He could hear the stones beneath the boys boots creaking, the creek trickling along the smoothened rocks and the wind's whistling.

From the corner of his eye he saw an ugly guy's hand twitch and hear the quiet tap from fingers on metal.

The tension was so thick Percy could probably cut it with a knife, and then...

Shink! Thud.

As soon as Hugo's ugly buddy had unsheathed his sword, he'd notched an arrow and shot his sword arm.

Percy whipped around and punched Ugly Buddy 2.0 in the face, tripped Ugly Buddy 1.0 and kicked Ugly Buddy 3.0 in the chest.

Then there was Hugo, who was shakingly clutching a sword. Percy wacked him over the head with the flat of his blade. He'd rather not have this idiot whining about his injuries later on.

That also wouldn't be a nice thing to do to his cousins.

Ugly Buddy 1.0 and 3.0 charged him from both sides, but Artemis' son crouched down and knocked them out after they'd ran into eachother.

He suddenly heard the cheering of his sisters and noticed Zoë holding a now silver banner.

They'd won.

Then he heard shouting and watched the Thalia girl zap Hugo, who flew into the creek. Hugo raised a bit of water and dreched her. But before Thalia could zap the life out of him, a mummified corpse came out of the woods.

"This is impossible," Chiron said nervously. "It... she has never left the attic. Never."

And yet, the withered mummy that held the Oracle shuffled forward until she stood in the center of the group. Mist curled around their feet, turning the snow a sickly shade of green.

Nobody dared move. Then her voice hissed inside his head. Apparently everyone could hear it, because several campers clutched their hands over the ears.

I am the spirit of Delphi, the voice said. Speaker of the prophecies of Phoebus Apollo, slayer of the mighty Python.

The Oracle regarded him with its white marble eyes. Then she turned unmistakably toward Zoë. Approach, Seeker, and ask.

Zoë swallowed. "What must I do to help my goddess?"

The Oracle's mouth opened, and green mist poured out. He saw the vague image of a mountain, and a woman standing at the barren peak. It was his mom, but she was wrapped in chains, fettered to the rocks. She was kneeling, her hands raised as if to fend off an attacker, and it looked like she was in pain.

The Oracle spoke:

"Five shall go west to the goddess in chains,

One shall be lost in the land without rain,

The prince of animals shows the trail,

Campers and hunters combined prevail,

The Titan's Curse must one withstand

And two will be saved by a brother's hand."

Then, as they were watching, the mist swirled and retreated like a great green serpent into the mummy's mouth. The Oracle sat down on a rock as if she might sit by this creek for a thousand years.

A/N: Well i hope that was good, i am really bad at writing fighting scenes(at least i think so) and the writers block every few sentences was not helping. I was also kind of lazy and i had alot of stress(finally going back to school again, so many tests)

So i really, really hope this was good :)

Ideas for this story are welcome, i read all of your comments. So feel free to suggest anything.(any pairings or further plot in particular really and maybe powers)
