Percy woke up in a tent, a very unfamiliar tent that he'd never seen before.
The inside of the tent was warm and comfortable. Silk rugs and pillows covered the floor. In the center a golden brazier of fire seemed to burn without fuel or smoke. On a polished oak display stand, was a huge silver bow, carved to resemble gazelle horns. The walls were hung with animal pelts: bear, tiger, and several others he didn't recognize. Percy figured an animal rights activist would've had a heart attack looking at all those rare skins.
Next to the huddle of pillows he had slept on lay a deer with glittering fur and silver horns, looking at him with content golden brown eyes.
The young woman from earlier came into the room, she looked like she was about twenty-five years old. She had auburn hair and moon colored eyes.
"Ah, you are awake, good. How do you feel?" She asked, but Percy had no idea who this was.
"Um, good. Who are you miss?" He asked, trying not to make her angry, anger was bad, it meant pain.
"Do not worry little Percy, i will not hurt you. Do you know about the gods little one?" The woman asked, and Percy wanted to curl up and cry.
Because his mama had told him those stories, about the gods and their children, about the horrible monsters... like the big man from earlier, that was a cyclops wasn't it? Percy realized, slowly starting to realize were this was going.
"Yeah, my mommy told me, mommy was very a smart lady." He asnwered, he knew what she was going to say, though he hadn't expected the latter sentence.
"Well, the gods, demigods and monsters are all real. And you, Percy Jackson, are a demigod." The moon eyed lady said.
The moon, Percy thought, who was the god or goddess of the moon?
"My name, young demigod, is Artemis, goddess of the Hunt, moon, animals, maidens, childhood and wilderness." Said Artemis.
"What are you going to do with me miss?" Percy asked, a bit confused why Artemis of all gods and goddesses was being nice to him.
"I know of your mother's death, for that, i am sorry, but your mother prayed to every god and goddess she knew of that they took care of her child. I wish to fulfill that wish, do you accept Percy?" She asked, with sad but hopefull eyes.
"You will be my new mommy?" Percy asked.
"Yes little one, I Phoebe Artemis, hereby adopt Perseus Jackson as my own, may my golden inchor run trough his veins." She stated.
Percy glowed a soft silver color, a silver(not gray, solid silver) streak appearing at the front of his hair, framing his face. When he opened his eyes they were still the same beautiful green, but with silver specks drifting around the iris, making the sea colored dephts sparkle like tropic waters.
The deer from earlier nudged against his legs. And Percy could hear a feminine voice in his head.
A prince of animals has arisen, may the creatures of the forest know of this miracle milady? He heard, whipping his head around.
The deer nudged his legs again, Do not fear young prince, it is just I.
Artemis chuckled, "you can now understand animals my child, you are their prince after all. And yes Cerynitis, you may spread the word of the prince of animals." Artemis said, watching as the golden furred hind raced out of the tent to share the news.
--On Olympus--
The sacred animals of the gods had been roaring, neighing, bleating, squacking and thrilling sounds of joy that echoed trough the city. Zeus' eagles had circled above the city, spreading the news. Martha and George were hissing in joy, Apollo's cows were happily running trough the meadow, Poseidon's horses neighed loudly, Hera's peacocks fanned their tails in celebration, Aphrodite's doves cooed and even Ares' boars were happily snorting.
The gods could only make out one message.
"The prince of Animals has been crowned."
--Back at Artemis' camp--
"Come Percy, i will introduce you to my hunters." She said to Percy, who was staring where the deer had once been in awe and taking his small hand in hers.
Percy held her hand tightly and pressed himself into the side of Artemis' legs, still a little dazed.
When Percy and Artemis exited the tent, a dozen bows were immidiatly pointed at him, and he hid behind his new mother's legs.
"What is a boy doing here milady." Asked one of her oldest huntress' Atalanta.
"I have adopted little Percy here as my own to meet his biological mother's last wish. He has been trough as much as all of you, so do not torment him." Percy's adoptive mother said curtly.
Artemis' two oldest hunters, Zoë and Phoebe, approached Percy, who was now petting Cerynitis'-who had come back halfway trough their conversation- golden fur.
"Do you wish for a new family, little one?" Phoebe asked in an uncharacteristicly soft voice.
Percy nodded and looked to Artemis, "Mommy?"
"Yes Percy?"
"If they are your huntress', does that mean they are kind of your daughters and my sisters?" Percy asked softly, making the hunt look at him in awe.
Artemis smiled at her new son, "Yes, yes it does."

The Hunt had accepted young Percy quite well after hearing what happened to him, some of them however, still watched his every move with hawk's eyes.
Right now the young boy was playing with the hunts wolfs, the alpha male and female Kyro and Xena watching as the young prince of animals played with the young ones.
One of the newer huntress' and her older friend were watching the scenario in disgust, this boy couldn't stay here! This was an all girls group for their mistress' sake!
However, they had to be sneaky, i their mistress found out about their plan she would surely banish them.
That couldn't happen.
So Megan, daughter of Hermes and Willow the willow tree nymph decided that Percy needed to go.
And fast.
Or the results wouldn't be pretty.
I hope that was great, votes are closed, result will be in chapter 5
