Chapter 7

Becca's pov

"Good morning" Tyler yawned as I unwrapped the towel from my wet hair.

"Good morning, sleepyhead."

"What? It's only 9.30" Tyler defensed herself.

"Well, I already had breakfast, took a shower and brushed my teeth. You didn't do anything yet."

"Brushed your teeth? Did you do that so I can kiss you again?"

"Erm no" I frowned "I brushed my teeth just like most people do after they wake up in the morning."

'ding-doooong' The sound of the bell ringing saved me from Tyler's response.

"Oh god, Tyler you have to hide. This must be Ethan and he can't know you're here. Please just stay in bed and make no noise." I demanded.

"But---"

"No buts. I'll explain later."

I fastly walked towards the door as it rang again, impatiently.

"Hey, Ethan" I opened the door, feeling quite awkward after what happened yesterday at lunch.

"Hey" He nodded politely "can I come in?"

"Sure"

"So about yesterday..." Ethan settled himself on my couch "What was going on with you?"

"Oh urm. I don't know. I just remembered that I had to handle some things and I had no time to explain it. Sorry?"

"Accepted." He smiled.

"How about we hang out today?" I proposed "We can hang out with the other people of the community first and then maybe we can go out for dinner together and do something fun afterwards."

"Yeah, like going to a cinema." Ethan suddenly was excited.

"Cinema?" I asked, having no idea what it was.

"Luke told me about it. It's just a place where you can go and see a movie or something."

"That sounds great" I nodded "Let me go grab some stuff from my bedroom and then we can go to Luke's? Maybe David and Leah are able to come there too. It's been such a long time since I saw them."

"I'll check on them."

I nodded before walking to my bedroom, where Tyler was still in bed.

"So you're leaving?" She whispered.

"Yeah, is that okay?"

"Sure, I'll have to go to college and I also have to work tonight so I might come home late."

I gave her nod in response and grabbed my bag, ready to walk away as she Tyler suddenly grabbed my arm. "Wait" she came closer to my face and her full, red lips caught my. "There's something I want to do before you leave." Her face came even closer and her lips touched mine. I immediately responded but parted away after a few seconds. "I really have to go now."

"I'll be waiting for you." 

I rolled my eyes knowing she probably still was at work when I would be coming home, but gesture was sweet. I smiled at her before turning around and walking back to where Ethan was.

"Who were you talking too?"

His sudden question made my cheeks turn red and I had no idea what to answer so I just blurted something. "Urm just to myself. I had to remind myself no to forget to do the groceries and I remember things better when I talk out loud."
