I sat at a tree branch listening to the conversation. Vylad and Laurence told them everything they could about me, it wasn't much but enough for them to stop trusting me... Why should they? Zane did kill many people and probaly did something to Aphmau's village, he can't deny any of that to me now... I remember one day, when I noticed that dark vibe comig off him, I made him promise me something...

It was another day as a fifteen year old. Me and Zane were just sat on the beach enjoying each others company but something about him was... Off.
He didn't smie as often, didn't laugh. It was a month since we last hung out together but over that month he became more distand from the world. Kind of like a weird darkness was pulling him deeper away from the light... I should talk to him! If he needs me I'm here for him and he shoud know that by now!
"Hey Zane? Is everything alright? You seem out of it... " his head shot up like I brought him out of deep thought then he quickly thought of an answer.
"I'm fine" I could tell he was lyeing from the tone of his voice and the look in his eyes, I know him too well for that to slide by me.
"I can tell something is up, whatever it is you can tell me. After all I am your best friend aren't I? " he looked straight into my eyes before looking away and stating coldly... Different than what I was used to.
"It's nothing you have to bother about"
"Come on, Zane! You know I care about you, of course I will bother if something is bothering you. That's what friends are for" I smiled at him but his expression didn't even twich...
We stayed there in silence watching the water move... It was a few minutes before he decided to speak.
"(Y/n)? Promise you won't leave me alone? If you do... I don't wanna know what I would do to myself and others around me... " he threw me off with that question, that was the first time I heard him talk like that. Like he was afraid of himself...
"Only if you promise not to do stupid things that you'll regret and that would hurt anyone around you" I held my pinkie up and he fallowed my lead, we pinkie promised that day to be with each other and not to hurt the ones around us. After that promise we both had to head back home as it was getting pretty late

He broke his promise... But I'm not innocent here either, I broke mine. I left him alone with no light. I was the reason that Zane's darkness consumed him, I wasn't there to stop it from doing so... How can I face anyone knowing that Zane, the one I was supposed to protect from that darkness, hurt them? I couldn't hold back my tears any more... They just ran down my cheeks filling me with even more guilt... There is no place for me with them, even if I'm Laurence's little sister. I can't stay. I have to leave now. I don't care if I end up being stuck in this forest for the rest of my life, even if I do I would deserve that. I decided, I'm leaving this behind as well. Screw my family, forget the past and just escape everything, myself included. But there is a warlock with them, that white haired guy who I think is called Travis from what I picked up. If they want to look for me after I'm gone it won't be hard for him to track my magicks source so I have to create a double. It won't eat or use magicks but it'll look exactly like me and it will give my magicks energy vibe off. Now I have to create it then just sneak away. I slipped my gloves of my hands and gathered most of my magick energy, only a few magicks users can create life, elementals are one of them.
"Earth and Water, combine together and create a figure" my eyes were closed, I was focusing on making her look identical to me, same clothes, same features even the same pendant. "Fire, create a burnig heart giving it life" my hand traveled towards the chest of my creations and soon I could feel heat from it. One more thing to make it believable...
"Air, create a mind that shall resemble my own" now just finish the spell and make sure I am able to get as far away as possible and on trees
"The four elements combined, create a creature that shall be my double! Her mission is to act as me for as long as she may live. After a month let the power I lend to create her disappear making it the end of her life! "
With that my eyes opened and the magicks flowed through my veins. Hope this is good enough to fool them.
