Forget It, Escape It

New Meteli

It was late afternoon when we arrived at the outskirts of the forest next to the village I never knew existed. It was build by the citizens of Meteli fifteen years ago after O'Khasis, under Zane's command, burned the old village down. Immediately after we stepped into the area consisting of a few modern looking (that kind of style would be considered modern in those ages)  buildings, what I assumed to be the lord and her guard came up to a distraught Aphmau. On our way out of the forest, Laurece explained to me the situation with the Lady's sons and friend. Now that she was set back onto the situation, her fear and concern was greatly visible. While the two ladies were talking as to what precautions should be taken, the group separated. Chad ran off somewhere. Aaron just dissappeared. Laurece went to talk to the head guard who was also a shadow knight and that left me, Katelyn, Vylad and Travis standing there. My mind was running wild with possible outcomes of this situation but I tried to ignore them. I will help or at least try to, I know how parents can get if there is something up with their children. Soon, the two lords established as to what to do meaning that us and the guards of Meteli will search the near by area in search of either the Mei'fwa or the bandit camp. All this time I was scanning the village using my air magicks to seek out anyone that would match the description of any of the missing from Pheonix Drop or their kidnapper but there was nothing. Not even a single trace I could follow.

"If it's not too much to ask, will you help us (y/n)?" Aphmau's words pulled me out of my thoughts setting my attention on the woman in front of me. I could clearly see she was worried sick for her children and friend.

"Of course, my adoptive parents experienced the pain of losing a child but knowing that they are still there. I don't want anyone else to feel it. If you need anything I'll be in the forests of Meteli, if I find something you will be the first to know" I reassured the lady and turned around to run off in the direction I told her I would be. But not before I couldn't hear her silent 'thank you'.

~~A few minutes later~~

The air was softly blowing onto my face. The grass, a cold touch beneath my hands. I was trying to concentrate as much power as I had left in me to scan the perimiter of the terrain surraunding
New Meteli. It wouldn't be a good idea to exhaust myself completely but I used my magicks far too much than I wanted in the past few days that I traveled with this group so I might as well help them out and give it all I've got. Nothing. I couldn't find anything and I was almost at my limits but then I felt a dark presence. Shadow souls. And between the two was the cat girl we were looking for. Perfect. With what was left of my strenth I ran in the direction I found her at. I might have figured her position out first but I surely wasn't the first to get to her, Aphmau was already there pinning her to the tree behind her... the diamond balade against the mei'fwa's neck. I did what seemed like the best option, I tied her hands together with fire. it wouldn't burn her but it will hurt if she tries anything. I seemed to catch her off guard as she yelped at the heat, or maybe she tried to get them off.

"Moving isn't your best option, they'll just hurt you more the more you try to free yourself so I sugest you stay still" My voice echoed from bechind the trees as I came into their view. I saw anger and relief on Aph's face and fear on the other face. Soon I was besides my new ally and I heard Laurence approach. Together, we made our enemy lead us to the bandit camp, I didn't mention that I wouldn't be able to use my magicks but it's not like I can't fight without it.

First thing first, I am sooo Sorry for not updating for so long! I really have no other excuse other than I didn't have the motivation to write this. It's probaly because I'm starting to move a bit away from Aphmau's fandom and getting more into anime or Undertale so I'm slowly losing inspiration BUT this book will be finished... someday. Other than that I want to thank you for over a hundred reads on this story and almost 6k on My other book, Tangled in love. If you haven't yet seen that, go check it out! (but I don't know how posssibly you wouldn't have...)
