No one had heard of me

Chapter Four

Emily:
It's Thursday morning and all lectures have been cancelled due to a bomb scare last night. I texted my three best friends, Hanna, Spencer and Aria that I wasn't working today and to see if they could come over and order some food later. They all texted back that they could, so until they arrive I will just sit in my couch in my pjs since I'm not going anywhere and the girls won't care. Besides, I like to be comfy when I spend hours correcting papers.

It's now 6pm and the girls just texted to say they're on their way up. As the door opened my three best friends walked in. "Hey guys" I said without looking up from the paper I was grading.
"Hey Em" they replied. I looked up at them and to my surprise they were all dressed up. "So where are you guys off to?" "It's not where we're off too, it's where we're taking you" replied Hanna.
"Ha ha very funny, but I hate to break it to you's but I'm not going anywhere tonight". I invited you guys over to order food with me and maybe crack open a bottle of wine, not to dress me up and take me out".
"Oh come on Em. You haven't been out in weeks and it's not healthy to stay all by yourself drinking beer" says Spencer as she looks at my trash can with empty beer bottles next to it.
"Guys I'm not up for it. I'm not in the mood to go out tonight. I'm still hurting" I admit sadly and look at the ground.
"Oh Em" said Spencer as she walked over to me, sat down and hugged me. "Em Paige didn't deserve you. You were always too good to her and I don't think she realised how good you actually were to her. But it's her loss not yours. She is the one who should be sitting around drinking and feeling like crap. Not you okay?"
"Thanks Spence"
"Anytime. So is that a yes on going out?"
"Yes" i say as I get up and go to my room to get changed. God only knows where they're taking me.
