M.S.
Spending the night at Niall's was probably the best decision I've ever made in my entire life. I didn't have to worry about my sister barging in my room in the morning or even trying to talk to me before I went to bed. And I'm sure my father didn't even realize I was gone.
I'm not gonna lie, I wanted to say yes to living with Niall. I would have said yes in a heartbeat if my sister didn't decide to start being a better older sister.
I almost didn't get out of my car when I drove home; Niall wasn't in the car with me and he fought me on that. He wanted to make sure that Stefan or Trevor hadn't followed me home. Thankfully they hadn't.
It was nearing 8:30 at night when I finally got out of my car to head inside my house. I didn't see Gemma's car in the driveway, but I did see my father's. I thought that maybe if I was quiet enough, he wouldn't hear me come in.
I closed the front door and heard a soft click; signaling that it had closed properly. I slid off my shoes and held them in my hands as I began up the stairs for my bedroom. As soon as I reached the top step, I heard someone groan. I suppose it was my father cause it surely didn't sound like Gemma. So I placed my shoes by my door and walked to where I heard the groan; it lead me to my father's office. The door was partly open and in that opening, I could see my father sitting at his desk with his head in his hands.
"Dad?" I asked softly as I gently pushed open the door.
He hadn't reacted so I called out for him a little louder; that's when he finally looked at me.
"What do you want, Marcel? Can't you see I'm busy?" he snapped at me.
I gulped hard.
"I just...I wanted to make sure you were okay..."
"I'm fine," I saw him bring a bottle to his lips and that's when I realized this must of been the reason Gemma wasn't home; our father was getting drunk. "I'm perfectly fine." He wiped his lips and put the bottle down before looking at me. "Why are you still standing there? Get out of here, boy!"
I didn't wait for him to tell me again; I just ran to my bedroom and quickly closed the door behind me. I leaned against my door for a bit before I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. Pulling it out, I smiled at the name that flashed across my screen. It was Niall; he had given me his number before I left his house.
From Niall ⚽️:
Recieved at: 8:32pm
Did you get home safely?I smiled more as I walked to my bed and sat down; ready to answer him back.
To Niall ⚽️:
Sent at: 8:33pm
Yeah. Nothing bad happened. No one followed me. Although the downside of coming home is that you're not here with me.I blushed after sending that. It's not like I'm gonna hide it; Niall knows I like him.
From Niall ⚽️:
Received at: 8:35pm
If you want me there, Marcel, I'll come over. All you have to do is ask.I nearly dropped my phone onto my floor when I heard glass shatter.
"D-dad?" I called out, slowly standing up from my bed; setting my phone down on the mattress.
I got no response. I gulped as I began walking towards my door and I jumped back a bit when I heard more glass shatter.
"Dad, stop it!" That was Gemma; she was home now. "Breaking all of this stuff isn't going to make anything bett—"
