"Are you ready?" I heard him ask as he tapped my window.

"Yes, let me grab my shoes first."

I scanned the room and located them under the bed.

"Don't put them on."

"What why?"

"You'll see, trust me." I shrugged my shoulders and grabbed my purse.

"Where are we going?" I asked as he led me deeper into the woods.

"It's a secret." He whispered

"Why the no shoe requirement? I mean I know your kind loves nature and all, but this is so unusual to me."

"Don't worry, your answer is straight ahead."

"Wow." I whispered as I took in the sight.

A beautiful waterfall that leaned against massive rocks decorated the green area that surrounded it. The crystal clear water eventually pooled into a small oasis.

"We're going to cross?" I asked full of excitement.

"Yes, don't worry, it's not too deep."

"I want to get in!" I said in excitement running over to the edge.

"I'm afraid we can't, we are going to be late."

I walked in deeper until the water reached my mid-calf area.

"It feels nice and cool" I said closing my eyes and focusing on the surrounding sounds.

"I get why you guys enjoy nature so much. It's relaxing and freeing"

He didn't answer letting me enjoy those few seconds of complete self-freedom.

"You're too beautiful for your own good."

"Thanks, now let's go." I said not over thinking his comment.

Over the few months we had know each other we had become really great friends and I was happy. For once I knew a person who didn't try to control my every move and let me be who I wanted and truly was.

"Wow. Really?!" She asked me with excitement in her voice.

I could tell she was mesmerized by all the colorful and bright light that surrounded us. She was waiting for me to allow her to have fun, something she shouldn't know to do.

"Yes, you do know what this is right?"

"I have read about them, I went to one but I was too young to remember." It saddened me that she had not yet enjoyed the simple pleasures life could offer. All she had was the information books could provide her.

But, there is not near enough imagination in the world to replace real-life memories and feelings.

"They call it an amusement park."

"Oh" She said blushing.

"Come on, what do you wan to get on first?"

"The swings."  She said running towards them.

"You're on!" I yelled running after her.
