Hoping that I could get there before Kiara did, I ran as fast and quickly as possible to the cabin.
By the time I made it safely to the cabin the time read six forty-five.
I had enough time to put on more decent shoes, apply some gloss to my dry lips, and fix my hair. I was truly thankful that getting ready was not a big task since I had worn the dress she had brought for me to the picnic.
As I stared into space, I heard the door open and I turned around.
"Oh, you're all ready. Good, we have to go I'm afraid we're running late." She said as she pulled me by my arm and guided me outside the cabin.
"So what's this big thing that's going on? This is the first time in years we've had visitors.Or, well that I've been allowed over when having them. "
"Your father hasn't really told me much about it, he does seem quite exited for this though."
"Really, that's a new one."
"I know" she said giggling.

We walked in silence soon after that and shortly after, we arrived.
Maids were running in and out carrying loads of stuff looking tired and stressed out.
"Zinnia!" I heard someone yell out my name.
I looked around and my eyes eventually met with my father's cold ones.
"Father." I greeted him formally.
"I feel like I haven't seen you in months you spend an awful lot of time in that old cabin." He said with a look of distaste on his face.
"I enjoy the wilderness and the fresh air. Besides, it keeps me out of your way."
"Come in, I have great news." He said pushing my comment aside.
I obeyed and followed him all the way into the living room.
"What are these great news I keep hearing but know nothing about?"
"Well, I have given this a thought and I have taken into consideration everything you've complained about. I my dear have found a solution to our problems." He clasped his hands together in excitement.
"What exactly do you mean by 'our problems'?"
"Well, I want to retire, and I know you are simply not fit to take over, so I have found the perfect solution!"
"What might that be?" I asked concerned for what he might have came up with.
"The exact same solution your mother was given, I have arranged a marriage for you. You will get married in a month's time."
I was speechless as I took it all in. I was no longer going to be my father's prisoner, but a strange man's.
"What?" I whispered. "No! You can't do this to me!"
"Isn't it perfect? I won't have to worry about you any longer, and I'll be off your sad case. "
"Perfect?! You think selling me out to another man is a perfect solution?! I have spent all my life trapped by your side and now you think by sending me off to another man you'll fix everything? You are so naive if you think I will marry whoever it is you have planned for me. I won't do it!"
"I guess it's a good thing I didn't ask you then Zinnia. You are going to get married to whoever it is I-"
"I'm leaving! I won't allow you to destroy my life any longer, I couldn't do anything about it while I was a minor, but now I have a choice, and I will take it!" I said spinning on my heel making my way out the door.
As soon as I was about to step foot outside I was yanked back.
"You won't leave me again Rachel!" He yelled.
" Lock her in the basement! And don't you darespeak to her!" He said as he threw me into Kiara's arms.
She only nodded and held onto me guiding me down to the basement. I didn't struggle not wanting to be put to sleep. I was safer being wide awake.
