I was woken up by the sound of someone pounding at my door.

"Zinnia! Zinnia! It's me Max open the door!"

I groaned as I made my way out of bed.

"What do you want?" I asked flinging the door wide open.

"Wow, grumpy now are we?"

"You disturbed the twelve hours of sleep I was planning on getting today." I said giving him a glare.

"It's noon. I dropped you off at ten."  He said taking a seat on my couch.

"Who said I went straight to bed?"

"Point proven. I came here to take you out on a picnic and perhaps a swim by the waterfall." He said a smile gracing his lips.

"Fine, I guess I'll sacrifice my hours of sleep so you can have a bit of fun." I said rolling my eyes.

"We both know you are the one that is the most exited about this adventure."

" We'll see, now please get out I have to get dressed." I said pushing him out the door.

"There are still some things about you I want to know if you don't mind." He said.

"Oh, I know we can play that game. What's it called? " I wondered as I tried to recall the game many couples played in my romance books "Oh,yes we can play twenty questions!"

"I'm surprised you know what that is."

"Hey! Reading can get you places. Besides I'm not that uneducated about the outside world."

"If you say so. Now shoot."

"Ok, I'll start with something simple, what was your first thought about me?"

"Um, well at first I was very taken back about the fact you picked up the pup. Even though our females are possessive and protective, they usually won't go near another's child. They take along time to become an orphan pup's surrogate. But you, you accepted him for what he was and I've never seen that in your kind. "

"Wow, that was deep Romeo." I said with a small laugh. "It's your turn now."

"If your family has had you trapped for so long, why do they let you out here all alone? How come they are so confident you won't run away?"

"I have no where to go, no money, and no experience with the outside world. Plus, I have no friends besides the occasional chat with the maids, which would get into really deep trouble if they helped me. Besides, I've always been allowed back here ever since I have had memory. I used to come here with my sister Vienna and my mother when I was younger. We would spend up to a week here just laughing and enjoying each other's company."

"How can a girl like you go through this nightmare and still be as happy and positive as you are?"

"I'm not always happy. Before you came along my days included moping and complaining, a lot of complaining.I still do, but your company makes it all better."

"Well, I'm happy I could help make your life better."

The rest of the afternoon was spent talking, eating, swimming, and laughing about our silly tales. I was happy I got to spend time with her and get to know her better.

"I brought something." I told her as I took out my set of drums from the basket that I had brought along with our food.

"You know how to play ?" She asked me enthusiastically.

"Yes, I learned to play when I was younger. My mother insisted I learn to do something over my summer breaks."

I began to play and watched mesmerized as her eyes lit up.

She began to stand up and dance following the rhythm of the drums. Her white dress flowed along with her making her look like a true angel.

She let her body loose as she closed her eyes and let the wind guide her.

After some time she let herself fall on the blanket we had laid out.

"That was fun." She whispered. "Thank you."

I could only nod as I was breathless.

"It seems pretty dark, what time is it?" She asked

I looked at my phone "Six thirty."

Her eyes went wide with fear.

"I have to go. Kiara is picking me up and I can't be late." She managed to tell me befofe she started running in the direction of the cabin.

I was filled with fear as I remembered the conversation we were supposed to have but didn't.
