Chapter 14: Reunions

"Woah! I didn't know that you're selling roses now." Charles scrunched his face. I don't blame him. Seeing hundreds of white roses in my office makes me do the same thing.

"Who's Harry?" He put back the card and looked at me.

"Someone." I shrugged.

"Are you dating him? Or yet sleeping with him?" I put my pen down and looked at him.

"Charles, just because he sends me hundreds of roses doesn't mean I'm sleeping with him." Well technically we did sleep together but not the kind of sleep he's thinking right now. I don't go around and sleep with random guys. I've got to respect myself first so that guys will respect me.

"Do you like him?" He asked bluntly.

"Maybe. Maybe not!" I smiled.

"Oh, so you like him!" I raised my eyebrow. "It's no use to deny it Andie. Maybe. Maybe not." He said in a squeaky voice. He put his hands together and batted his lashes. I threw my pen at him, hitting his forehead. He glared at me.

"I don't sound like that. And most of all I don't look like that." I shook my head and laughed. "You're an idiot."

"And you're in love." He smirked.

Love. Hearing that word makes me cringe.

"I'm not." I pinched the bridge of my nose. I admit I like Harry. He's a great guy with good looks. I like to hang out with him. But that doesn't mean I'm in love with him. We're just friends. We're just friends...right?

"Don't get too worked up about it sis." I nodded.

"So what do you want anyway? Aside from annoying me." Charles chuckled.

"I came here to remind you about the dinner party."

"Dinner party?"

"I guessed my assumptions were right."

"What dinner party are you talking about?"

"Dinner party at the Hamilton's. Does that ring any bell?"

"Oh yeah. Now I remember." Charles sighed and stood up.

"I'm gonna go now. See you there." I stood up and hugged him and pushed him out of my office. Typical sibling love.

Dinner party? Well shit! I don't have something decent to wear. And the only person who can save me is Alex. I grabbed my phone and dialed her number.

"Hello." Alex said in a sing-sang voice.

"Hey Alex, I need your help."

"Hmm, what is it?"

"Fashion emergency?"

"You just called the right person then. So what's the event? Tonight's dinner party or a date with hot stuff?" She giggled.

"It's for the dinner party." I rolled my eyes as if she'll see it.

"Oh okay. Just come to my house and everything will be here. And don't be late."

"Okay. Thanks. You're the best."

"I know. Byeee."

"Hello Ms. Andie." Greta greeted me with a smile, showing more wrinkles on her face. She's Alex's nanny. Ever since we were in pre-school, Greta was already serving their family. I engulfed her in a tight hug. She's really nice and sweet.
