Taken by a tourist visiting relatives in the town of Peters, Kansas in 2000, the following photograph depicts an unknown creature resembling a scarecrow walking past the camera. The photographer, who wishes to stay anonymous, had been walking to his car in a hotel parking garage when he heard footsteps coming from behind him. He took this photograph after turning around and spotting a glimpse of the depicted entity walking out of thin air. Once the picture was taken, and the entity passed by him, it vanished in thin air. Photographic experts have examined the photograph but have not been able to explain the distortion present in it. It should be noted that a few hours after the photograph was taken, a series of murders claimed another victim with the body of a hotel guest being found on the edge of town by a farmer, emptied of organs, filled with straw, and impaled on a tree limb.
