The One Who Waits

Another day goes by,
Another car speeds past,
Once again I wonder why,
We go through life in a flash.
The moon comes up,
And the sun goes down,
If we don't get what we want,
We frown.
We rush for the gold,
We rush from young to old.
We grow too fast,
Then we fade with the past.
We want our fate,
But all good comes,
To the one who waits
