"Kesese. That Italian likes to talk," said Gilbert to himself as he walked back home.
When he got to the door, he found a pondering Spaniard on his step.
"Guten Tag," he said, leaning against the trailer, "Jou shouldn't think so hard. It's bad for jour brain."
He tapped him on the head.
"I have a problem," said Antonio, still in a thoughtful daze.
"How unawesome."
"I am enamorado."
"Huh?"
"Oh, uh. What es the English word for when you like someone?" Antonio asked, snapping his fingers as he tried to think of the word.
"A crush," Francis answered, walking up to the pair, "Toni is in love."
"Really? Keseses."
"So who is it?"
Antonio sighed. "Lovi."
They stared for a while before Gilbert groaned.
"I varned jou about this."
"Are you sure it is a crush. Love comes in many forms."
"Si, I am sure."
"Jou Dummkopf." Gilbert flicked him on the forehead. "If jou have something good, don't mess vith it."
Antonio frowned and rubbed his wounded forehead. "You were happy with Matthew, but you still asked him out."
"Ja, but Matthew is a cute, little, homosexual Canadian. Lovino is mean, straight, und Italienisch."
"Little? Mon ami, Matthew is taller zhan you."
"Nein."
"Oui."
"Warte eine Sekunde." Gilbert bolted past Antonio into the trailer and reappeared a moment later with a tape measure. "I have to check something."
Then he ran off through the camp.
"Well, he's gone."
Francis chuckled as he sat beside Antonio on the narrow steps. "So you have fallen for zhe Italian, oui?"
"Si." Antonio's head drooped.
"Love is a wonderful zhing, but it is not always returned zhe way we want. Per'aps you can be 'appy to 'ave Lovino as a friend?"
Before Antonio could think too much on the matter, the sound of heavy boots against the pavement caught their attention.
"As important a conversation as I am sure this is, I just drove for 7 hours und had to deal vith Italians, so I vould like to get into mein house."
"Oh." The two jumped up from the step, clearing the way for the German. "Lo siento, Ludwig."
Ludwig just grumbled a tired "ja" as he dragged himself inside.
"I should get some sleep too. I had to drive Cachorro the whole way." said Antonio, stretching out a bit. "Maybe a siesta will help me figure out what to do."
"I 'ave to ask." said Francis, walking along with Antonio to his trailer. "Why does Elizabeta live wizh you and not Roderich?"
Antonio yawned. "Arthur doesn't let couples live together, so when I got here she was the only one without a roommate."
"What?" Francis' eyebrows raised but also furrowed a bit. "Arzhur never mentioned zhat couples could not live togezher."
They walked past Matthew and Alfred's trailer and they heard Gilbert yelling inside.
