"Dat poor waiter." Ivan laughed as they walked back into camp.
"It's not my fault he couldn't understand me, aru," said Yao, only slightly annoyed as he chuckled along with Ivan.
"He didn't speak Chinese, Yao."
"How can they call themselves a Chinese restaurant and not know basic Mandarin, aru?" said Yao, and Ivan laughed all the harder.
They heard the sound of a camera shudder and looked over to see Elizabeta jogging over with her phone in hand.
"Nin hao, Liz. Shen ti hao ma?" said Yao, calming down after their giggle fit.
"Szia, Yao," she said, stopping beside them, "The repairman just left, and Arthur said we can practice again."
"Jīngcǎi! I already feel like I'm getting out of shape, aru."
"You can go ahead. I want to get my suit on before we practice."
Yao nodded. "Xíng. I will meet you there."
Elizabeta ran off to her trailer and Ivan walked Yao to the main tent that had been closed off while the repairman fixed the canopy's support beams. They paused outside the entrance.
"Um..." said Ivan, shuffling a bit as he looked at his feet, "I will be seeing you later?"
Yao smiled. "Tonight, aru?"
"Da! Tonight is good!"
Yao chuckled. "I will see you then, aru."
Yao reached up to hug the taller male and he happily hugged back. Yao waved as he headed off to the arena and Ivan stood smiling for a moment before finally walking off to feed the bears in the other tent.
Ivan was about to push open the tent's canvas when he heard a metallic crack unlike anything he had heard before. He spun around in time to see the tent's first support pillar knocking down the second pillar as it fell. He could hear the Lights and seats being crushed within it as the whole tent collapsed. Ivan ran back.
"Vas anyone in zhere?" said Gilbert, one of the first to arrive on the scene.
"Si, Lovi es in there," said Antonio, catching up.
"Yao could be in there too," Elizabeta added, "He might have been on the trapeze."
"Scheiße!" Gilbert swore but in an instant turned into a general. "Arthur, cut zhe power to zhe lights. Ve don't need a fire. Ludwig, jou und Ivan start moving zhat side of zhe canvas to zhe middle. Alfred, jou Antonio und do zhe same on zhe ozher side. Everyone else, look for Yao und Lovino. Vatch for broken glass und metal. Jetzt geh!"
Everyone scattered to do their jobs. No hesitation, no argument.
On the far side of the ring, Ludwig called out that they had found someone. Judging by his reaction, they could guess who it was. Those closest moved in to help him but Ludwig had already ripped away the canvas.
"Feli!" He rushed over to the frightened man hiding between the prop crates that had kept him safe. "Are you alright?"
Trembling, Feliciano nodded and jumped into Ludwig's arms and Ludwig peppered him with kisses
"We found someone!" Alfred announced from the far side of the wreckage and Feliciano pulled away.
"Is it fratello?" he asked, jumping up to run over there.
Alfred and Antonio pulled away the heavy canvas and long lines of Italian obscenities poured out.
"Cazzo dell'inferno! Dio mio, it hurts!"
"Lovi!" Feliciano called, rushing to his side.
"My wrist twisted!"
"Can jou take Lovino to zhe hospital, Feliciano?" asked Gilbert, and Feliciano nodded.
"We can take my pickup," Antonio offered.
"Gut. Antonio, jou can go vith zhem."
Antonio nodded and picked Lovino up.
"I've got you, Lovi," he whispered into his ear.
Lovino whimpered and held onto him with his good hand.
"Zhey can't go alone," said Ludwig, unsure of sending his Liebling off in a foreign country.
"We need you here."
"Aber—."
"Gehen!" Gilbert pointed back to the mess but before Ludwig could get back to work Elizabeta called out that she had found Yao.
"He's trapped behind the lights! I can't get him out!" she said, from the crush seats where she found him.
Ivan was on the spot in an instant. Elizabeta cleared what she could from the space, but Ivan went right for the industrial size flood lights. They would have been heavy for Ludwig, but Ivan managed to get part of it up. Before anyone else could even get there, Alfred rushed to his aid and heaved up the other side.
"Grab him, Liz!" Alfred ordered, strained by the weight.
Elizabeta did just that and pulled the him away before the heavy lights fell back down with a loud crash.
Ivan rushed to Yao's side.
"He alright? He alive?"
"He's breathing, but he has a bad gash on the side of his head. He must have hit it," Elizabeta explained, holding Yao's unconscious body in her arms.
"He has to get to the hospital," said Gilbert, looking over the scene.
"Right. Take him to my car," said Arthur.
"I want to go with you," said Ivan.
Gilbert thought for a second.
"Okay, take Yao to Arthur's car," said Gilbert, and Ivan nodded as he took Yao from Elizabeta. Then he turned to Ludwig, "Go with them. Find Feliciano."
Ludwig's eyes widened.
"Danke," he said, leaving his brother stunned when he hugged him quickly, before taking Arthur's keys and running after Ivan.
Ivan kept watch over Yao in the backseat of Arthur's car as Ludwig started it up. It was a good thing German highways don't have speed limits because Ivan was certain that he'd never driven that fast before.
They parked at the hospital and rushed into the ER, Ivan carrying Yao. Right away, they brought out a stretcher and Ivan got lost in a swirl of German shouts. Before he knew it, Ludwig and the doctors had carted Yao away and he was left by himself in the waiting room.
"Ivan."
"Feliciano?" He spun around.
"They found Yao?" Feliciano asked, a slight tremble to his voice.
"D-da," Ivan stuttered, overwhelmed by the situation.
"Is he okay?"
"I—I do not know."
