Unbearable

Athan walked through the short hall to the living room. She shook her head to erase the face of the ghost she just saw and contemplated her previous conversation with Autumn. The little girl seems to be interested in witchcraft. In which ever case, she won't approve. It is too dangerous in getting completely involved. The world of truth is risky and there are always consequences. She had enough of Anne's persistent painstaking just to get stronger in performing witchcraft. Countless times from long ago Athan have seen her bruised and bleeding due to the strong energy she tried to attain in order to reach whatever standard they told her to achieve. It was ridiculous and painful to see. All she wanted was to get her beloved out of all life's throes due to the world's inevitable cycle.

And this time, she won't let that happen again. Not with the one she love. Not with Autumn.

She was stopped when she heard her two siblings talking about Autumn.

"I know. I felt it too the first time we talked." Thyone's voice echoed humbly.

"It is kinda. . .strange though. They're so much alike." Jareth expressed. "I mean, I don't know her much but she just feel, different. In a good way. . ."

Thyone nodded, "Yeah. We clearly know how that feels."

"And her surname, Rathmoore, just blows my mind."

"Yeah. . ." Said Thyone like he said something so obvious.

"And Wrathmore's have been extinct more than centuries ago." Jareth added.

To both their expectation, Athan walked in, knowing she had been eavesdropping. She spoke, "Where's Autumn?"

"Bathroom break." Answered Thyone.

"Athan," Called Jareth to get her full attention. "don't you think she's probably  a witch?"

Athan stood silent as Jareth justified. "Her surname, her aura. The nightmare's she's having. Don't you think. . .she's related to. . ."

Knowing he was talking about Anne made her crinkle her nose slightly. "That's nonsense. Wrathmore bloodline have been extinct."

"Yeah you know, I just said that." Thyone reminded uninvited.

Athan rolled her eyes as Jareth found more reason how he can justify his theory. "So what, Ath? We are a great example why Wrathmore bloodline might still exist." he stood up and in a heart beat was in front of Athan. Making little strands of her hair swoosh with the air. "You," Jareth pushed his index to Athan's firm shoulder. "me, and Thyone." he smiled in hope he will make his point. "We are great examples. Humans have believed that Ambrogio, our bloodline to be wiped out since the great war. But look, here we are now, walking, living, standing strong and immortal amongst them."

Athan tilted her head to the side to see Thyone's reaction to his words. She saw her sit idly, ankle on her knees and dusting her shoes.

"Jareth, you don't get it. It's a completely different story, Ambrogio have massive population compared to Wrathmore, Anne's family was the last of their bloodline, and we. . ." She took in a deep breath, suppressing the tremble in her throat threatening to mix with her voice. "saw each of them in flames."
