Sooner or Later

The event they have been preparing for has just ended. The UAAP Women's Volleyball Season 78 Championship's already done. It was not as good as what they wanted it to be, they lost the Championship crown. The Ateneo Lady Eagles failed to move their way to three-peat.

When the confetti already filled almost the whole court, the green people that are watching the game cheered they hearts out, while the blue ones just kept quiet and felt sad. They're sad not because their team did not make it to the top, but because the team will lose their three great players.

Some of them are still happy for what they have now, di na nila inisip 'yong pag katalo. But there are also some of them who's hurt, and frustrated. The team's on their way to the church of Gesu for thanks giving mass.

"I can hear you Jho." Bea muttered, not looking to Jho who's staring at the window of their bus.

"Hear me what? I did not say anything naman." She defended herself.

"You're sobbing beh. Di mo ako maloloko. Ay no, naloko mo na pala ako noon." Bea tried to make Jhoana laugh but she failed. Jho just told Bea to shut up.

"Just kidding, I'm sorry. Pero Jho, I know it hurts. Nafi-feel ko rin yan. But keeping that to yourself won't help you ease the pain." Bea started being serious now, she wants to help her beeh reduce the pain she's feeling.

"Beh, I'm willing and ready to listen. I suggest, tell me everything you feel now. Ilabas mo." She added, Jho did not say anything muna, hiniga lang niya 'yong ulo niya sa right shoulder ni Bea. Bea just caressed Jho's shoulder using her right hand, she's telling her to hush. Jhoana's not crying but she's sobbing, (A/N: there's a difference for me haha)

"Sakit beh. Ewan kung bakit pero parang feeling ko kulang 'yong mga binigay ko kanina. Shit, I don't want to blame myself but I can't eh, I'm so disappointed to myself beh. Kainis!" Jho managed to say that between her sobs.

Di na nag salita si Bea, hinintay niya lang na kumalma na si Jho hanggang sa nakatulog silang pareho in that position. Michelle Morente who was just behind them during the whole ride woke them up. Jho and Bea were both shocked when they noticed that they fell asleep.

Bea felt like she won an award when Jho smiled at her and said sorry because she fell asleep in her shoulder daw. Bea just smiled back at her and replied that her shoulder's always beside Jho whenever she needs something to lean on.

Hours passed, they are all not settled down at the church, listening to their team captain Alyssa Valdez's thanks giving speech.

"First of all, we're very sorry for not bringing home the crown." Alyssa started her speech. "Who wants to lose, di ba? I think no wants to lose. Personally, I hate losing...." She continued delivering her speech, trying hard not to let her tears fall down, while her teammates who are just lisetening to her, are already crying na.

After the speech of their seniors, Mae, Kiwi and Ly, someone texted Bea. She did not mind it because her supporters are 'attacking' her, asking for photos, and autographs. After granting her fans' requests, she went to where Alyssa is, and called her.

"Oh, bakit? Saan si Jho, Bei? Di mo siya kasama?" Alyssa said as she turned around and faced Bea who's eyes are turning red and swollen.

"No po, she said she'll talk to someone lang daw sandali eh." Bea answered. Upon hearing Bea's explanation, Alyssa's mouth shaped 'o'. Because she knew whoJhoana is talking to. Alyssa just nodded and acts like she don't know anything.

"I'm looking for her nga ate eh. Nakita mo ba?" Bea added. Alyssa did not say the exact place where Jhoana is, instead she said that it would be better if Bea will ask Kim who is just a meter away from Jho.

"Sige ate. Thankies!" When Bea started to walk, Alyssa just smiled and said...

"Mararamdaman mo rin mamaya Bea, pag nakita mo na siya." She said without letting Bea hear her.

"Kimmy! Have you seen Jhoana? Kanina ko pa hinahanap eh." She asked Kim Gequillana who's facing her phone. Kim pointed her finger to where Jhoana is, and she is talking with a guy.

BEA'S P.O.V.

"Siya ata 'yon oh. Di ko sure kasi nakatalikod, pero siya talaga ata 'yan eh." Sabi ni Kim. Oo nga, I think that is Jho. The way her hair was tied in ponytail, the shape of her body, her posture while standing, siya 'yan. I am sure. But who's the guy in front of her? I can't see his face cause he's not looking at Jho.

Gusto ko lumapit, pero duh? I am not that stupid naman para istorbohin yung dalawang nag-uusap ng masinsinan no.

"Uy tara mag eavesdrop tayo Bei!" It was Gizelle now who said that, flashing her evil grin in her face.

"Loko ka. Wag, huy. Hintayin nalang natin." I said and Kim agreed. So we just sit there and talked about the game we had earlier. They're releasing the aches in their hearts, while I am here, cannot focus. I really want to hear Jho and that guy's topic.

"Bakit Bea?!" Giz and Kim said surprisingly when I was as agile as a ninja to stood up from my seat.

"Umiiyak si Jho!" I said and started to walk my way on them but Kim reached my wrist immediately, they pulled me back to my chair and tried to calm me down. We saw what Jho did to that guy, she slapped him while the guy's eyes were still locked to the ground. Gizelle told me that I should wait for the guy to go away muna bago ko lapitan si Jho.

When Jho turned around, her tears are racing their way down to her face. Damn, I hate to see her crying. She started to walk, and that was when the guy looked up at her.

"Jho, sorry." I heard him said but Jho did not bother to look back at him, she just continued walking til she's already only a meter away from us. I stood up and hugged her, di siya pumalag. I want to know the reason why she's crying now, pero di ngayon. Tiningnan ko lang mag lakad palayo 'yong lalaki. He's Marci, the son of a bitch.

"Malapit na." I said without realizing that Amy's just beside me.

"Malapit na what, Ly? Who are you talking to?" She asked curiously, I shook my head sidewards telling her nothing so she just nodded her head okay and talked again to Ponngay while I am here, seeing Jho and Bea. I am happy that it happened, that Marci finally told her the truth.

Don't get me wrong ha? Wala akong kinalaman sa pag-iyak ni Jho, masaya lang ako na malapit na nilang maramdaman ulit kung ano 'yong nawala sakanila. Sooner or later mangyayari na 'yon.
