Ignoring Them

Chapter Eight

I hit my alarm clock and moan. Another stupid school day. I sigh and get up to stretch. I keep remembering the promise I made with Payton. I have no idea what to do when I see the guys. Just ignore them. This is gonna suck major balls. I get ready and walk to the bus stop. I get on and regret ever promising Payton.

Half An Hour Later...

   I slowly walk to my locker. I try to hide myself by putting my hoodie over my head. This isn't a good idea because I ended up bumping into Mark while he's talking to Felix and Jack. Well shit.
   "Hey, (y/n)...umm...why is your hoodie up?" Mark questions me. I just look up at him and walk away. This will be harder than it really is.

At Lunch...

   I sit under the Willow as usual. I keep looking around to see if the guys are around me. At least Payton hasn't bothered me today. I take my sketch book out right as Payton comes over. Shit.
   "Just wanted to see my best friend!" She cheers. What the actual fuck? What is she trying to do here?
   "What? Can't I just see my best friend?" She says with a smile plastered on her face. I give her a suspicious look. She looks around and then drags me behind the tree.
   "Okay, I have another favor to ask you. Like you have a choice," she smirks. I sigh and look to the ground.
   "Okay, so I just want to see you sketch book for a little bit. That's all. No harm, no foul...if not then you know the consequence," she smiles evilly. I have no choice. I nod slowly and get my sketchbook. I hand it to her in defeat.
   "Thank you! See you later!" She waves. I fall to the ground. This is not good. As I'm putting on headphones, the guys walk over. Noooo!
   "Hey, (y/n)!" The say in unison. I just stare at the ground. Please leave!
   "Umm.....so what happened when I saw you in the morning?" Mark questions me. I just keep staring to the ground. Hopefully they think I'm a douche for ignoring them and leave...what am I saying? I need these guys. They make my life so much better.
   "Okay...anyways, I was wondering if you guys can hang out at my place this Friday?" Jack smiles. Everyone, except for me, nods.
   "Come on, (y/n)! It'll be fun...not in that kind of way," Felix says while rubbing his neck. I smile. If I say yes, Payton will kill me, if I say no, they'll just keep spending time around me, making Payton angry at me. So it's a loose, loose situation. I already lost, so what's the point of trying to make things right. I nod. The guys smile to me.
   "Excellent! I can't wait!" Jack cheers. The bells rings and everyone gets up to go to class. I get up slowly and take my time to go to class. I have a bad feeling about this.
