She walked away from Kevin and sat down behind a column. Her sniffles echoed through the hallway. He followed her to find her holding in her tears. She didn't want to cry in front of him.
"Why would they say something like that, that's not how I am. I'm not a whore." She said shakily.
"I know you're not." He said sitting beside her. "You know, you're one of the first people to be nice to me."
"Yes, I know, I understand and I just want to help." She then leaned her head on his shoulder. He was tense for a second, but then relaxed.
"I try to help everyone, but nobody helps me. If someone would help me I would help them back. Kevin, will you help me?"
He nodded, "Yes."
She turned and tears flew out of her eyes, she hugged him. "Friends?" She asked.
"Best friends." He replied.
She smiled at him.
"Oh, God, sorry for crying and dragging you into my problems."
"Ha, it's fine."
Then the bell rang right as she smiled a real smile.
