Tim was the last one in the room, "we are talking, Tim." I rolled my eyes.

He in turn glared at me before stepping closer to me. I stepped back to lean on the wall with a 'what the hell do you want' look on my face.

"Privately." He put his hands on the wall on both sides of my head. I gulped before peeking up at him again. He was staring at me. His green eyes searching through my brown eyes.

"Okay. We can go to my temporary home." I sighed when his intense stare made me give in.

I pushed by him and stepped out of the room to see Lyla waiting against the wall. Wow. So they did come together.

"Lyla, go home." Was all that Tim said, and I gaped at his rudeness. "Tim! You can go ahead and go. You don't need to stay here." I glared at him when he ushered Lyla to leave.

He ignored me and continued to glare at Lyla. I suppose the message got through because Lyla huffed and swayed her hips on her exit.

I rolled my eyes. Of course he would like her.

I started walking while Tim was "glaring" at Lyla's back. Maybe he will get the message.

"Brooklynn, wait up." I felt him jog up to my side while I waited for the elevator to come back down.

I huffed and squeezed into the elevator before the door had opened up all the way. I saw him smile at my antics.

I pressed the fourth floor button before leaning on the opposite wall from Tim.

"How is Emma with all of this?" Tim suddenly asked, I continued my staring contest with the floor instead of looking into his eyes.

"She understands a little bit, but not everything. Mainly that Max is going to be sick for a while." I answered and crossed my arms feeling self-conscious under his stares.

"It might be for the best that way." He said and followed me closely until we got to my room. I unlocked the door before allowing Tim to step past me and into the living room.

"Nice place you've got here." He glanced around before his eyes settled on me again.

"You wanted to talk about something?" I said before sitting on a high chair next to the bar.

He roamed his way over to be directly in front of me. His hands on the counters surrounding me. He seems to like having me trap between him an objects.

"I am sorry for the other night. I didn't mean to be a jerk." He said before leaning against my legs.

I shuddered as his breath fanned against my neck. The anger slowly crumbled, "it's okay. You are right, we aren't dating." I muttered before trying to put more space between us.

Aggravation and anger passed through his eyes once I talked myself into looking at him.

"Stop being that way. You know what I am talking about. I didn't mean to ignore you and check Lyla out. Its just we have a slight past. I am not completely over her." He grabbed my hand when I was about to run it through my hair.

"I guess she isn't over you either." I shrugged before yanking my hand away. It is so hard to push him away. With his perfect hair and eyes to match are staring at you.

"Please. She is still head over heels in love with Street. She is just using me as an outlet right now." He explained and tilted his head to catch my eyes again.

Wait. Didn't Jules tell me that Tim and Jason Street were bestfriends? But he is with his girl? Who does that? Oh right, Tim does.

"Brooklynn. Don't judge me because of this. I am trying to help her cope over Street's injury." His eyes hardened and his grip tightened.

"Help her cope really? Is that what you are doing?" My voice raised and I pushed against him to stand up.

"Yes! It isn't as bad as it sounds!" He yelled back at me.

"Really?!? Screwing you bestfriend's girl isn't bad? Just because he can't soothe her problems right now? How desperate are you?" I screamed at him. I could feel the tension and the anger in the air.

He started turning red and his fist clenched up.

I stood my ground, and glared at him.

Knock knock knock

My eyes darted to the door before making my way to look through the peep hole. Mrs. B was standing beside a nurse with Em in her arms. The nurse was holding a suitcase.

I quickly opened the door, and breathed out in relief that Mrs.B was here. "I am so sorry. I got caught up in something. Thank you Mrs. B." I quietly said trying not to wake Em.

She gave me a knowing look. "We heard. Um. I can take Emma home with me if you would like. It sounds like you need to finish some things. I will take her to school as well." I blushed that they had heard our fight.

I gave her a gratiful smile. "Thank you. I will pick her up tomorrow afternoon." She nodded and turned to head back to the elevators. The nurse slowly handed me the suitcase before following after Mrs. B.

I took a deep breath before turning back into the room.

I set the suitcase down and shut the door. I rubbed the sweat from my forehead. "Brooklynn." Tim's voice ringed out right behind me.

I turned to be faced with Tim's broad chest. I tried to coil away, but he grabbed me first.

"I am really sorry for Max, and for yelling at you. I should have snapped. I know you are going through a hard time right now." He mumbled into my hair when he pulled me into a hug.

"It is my fault too. Since it is so late, do you want to stay the night?"
