1 MONTH LATER.
Kylin walked towards the front door of the Wayne Mansion. The door was bolted from the inside she noted. She got down on one knee in front of the lock. ‘This would be a splendid opportunity to catch Alfred and Bruce off guard.’ She grinned to herself as she made a tiny tornado and sent it through the key hole unlocking the door. The door swung open and a proud beaming smile that had been plastered on Kylin’s faded ever so slightly. “Morning Miss Knightly, a little early for burgling don’t you think?” Alfred asked looking down at Kylin. “Morning Alfy. It’s gotta be midnight somewhere.” She grinned rising to her feet. She was used to this by now, as Bruce always kept an eye on her knowing she’d try to pull something. She walked into the mansion followed by Alfred after he closed the door behind him. “Where’s…?” Kylin began. “Master Bruce is in the cave.” Alfred said before going back to the kitchen. She nodded. ‘So this was league business.’ She decided as she walked into the library. The walls were cramped with shelves filled with books. She walked towards the narrow gap between two shelves and let herself be scanned. The wall slid behind a bookshelf. She stepped into the metallic elevator and watched the wall slide back into place. The elevator began to speed downwards and stopped at level 1. The elevator doors opened to reveal the bat cave and she headed towards the well-built figure sitting in front of a gigantic screen stuck on the wall. “Hey-a Bruce!” Kylin said smiling at the man. Bruce typed in a few more characters and rose up to greet her. “So what’s the League business that you couldn’t tell me through the screen in HQ?” she asked. “It’s about your sister.” Bruce said looking at her, watching for her reaction. “Kaewa? What happened to her?” Kylin asked concerned. It had been a month since her parents Thomas and Leanne had died leaving Kaewa, her younger sister alone. Kylin hadn’t gone to the house after the funeral. “The night your parents died, Kaewa thought I was a threat. She pointed her hand towards me and…” Bruce hesitated. “And what?” Kylin asked. “I think she is a speedster.” Bruce said. “What like the Flash?” Kylin asked half-jokingly but stopped when she saw the serious look on Bruce’s face. “I know what I saw Kyle. Her fingers vibrated so fast and there were flashes of purple lightning.” He said. “She never had any experiments done on her.” Kylin said unbelievingly. “Maybe it’s natural. Like you got your powers. Your parents had natural abilities as well.” Bruce said. “I don’t know Bruce. She seems too young.” Kylin said. They sat in silence for a while. “Did you visit her yet?” Bruce asked. Kylin shook her head. “I will probably make it worse.” Kylin said staring at the ground. “Kyle. She needs you.” Bruce said. “No. Not now at least.” Kylin whispered.
