Chapter 7: Forest Temple Boss
**••**
Upon being greeted to his room filled with primates, Link began to backtrack, that is when his imp companion noticed the far side of the room, that contained yet another wind powered bridge.
"Link!" She said, stopping him from leaving the door. "Look, it's another place to use that handy tool of yours."
Link followed her gaze and then nodded. "Thanks, I nearly didn't notice."
"Tsk tsk!" She teased, giggling slightly.
Link went on to the far side of the room, using his Gale boomerang to turn it to his disposal. Once her made it to the wooden platform that hung from the cliff, he went over to climb the elevated platform. As he pulled himself up, a bokoboblin surprised him and slung his club across Link's face. He fell backwards, his mouth tainted with a slight metallic taste. He got back up and lunged at it, piercing its neck to finish it off.
He climbed the platform again, searching the vines for spiders. Sure enough, they crept around the vines clinging onto them. He pulled out his slingshot and aimed carefully, easily shooting them down with good accuracy. He then put it back into his pouch and began climbing the vines. He didn't look down, creating a steady rhythm moving his hands and then his feet. Her clung on, and climbed to the top. Another bokoboblin greeted him, as it stood at guard at the door.
Link lunged at it, taking it by surprise and watched it fall over the railing of the cliff. Link then went into the next room. Upon entering, two red deku babas sprouted from the ground. He made sure to take them on individually, not wanting to fear one sneaking up on him. At the end of the path there were stairs, and off to the left was another man eating plant hogging a platform to use to acres a chest that sat there.
Upon walking me up the steps, Link noticed a bomb plan off to the far right, and a cliff with more vines, but the entry side sealed off by a boulder. He hacked at two more deku babas before pulling out his Gale boomerang. He looked around one last time before using it bring the bomb bug to him. He walked backwards, watching the boomerang with his eyes come back to him as he raised his hands. Once the bomb was in his position he kept off the stairs and ran to the plant, lodging it into its mouth. It accepted it, and crumpled up, letting him open the chest, where he found another rusted key.
He walked back up the stairs and repeated the process, but threw it at the Boulder, and watched it explode into pieces. He then climbed the vines to the top, taking out the bokoboblin with ease. He continued to free the monkey he heard shriek on the other side with another bomb and the help of his trusted boomerang. The monkey thanked him and left off to the others.
Link walked back through the room, counting the monkey's he had rescued. He then went back to the room with four rooms and one bridge. He used his boomerang to control. Once he used it again the bridge turned to be in the direction of the two new doors. The bokoboblins on each side raised their clubs and charged at him. Link whipped out his sword and with a quick spin attack, had them both on the ground. He focused on one at a time, finishing one quickly, but th eother stood up and came at him again. He raised his shield to stop the raging club and pushed him back, giving him the opening to attack. Once they both disappeared into an explosion of smoke, Link decided to go through the door that was unlocked, first.
As soon as he went inside, he pressed his back against the door. The room was small and confined, and he heard the rustling of two large spiders that string webs onto the floor below. The room had three large holes in the ground, all covered in layers of giant sticky spider webs. Pots were strung from the ceiling. It was a literal spider nest. He pulled out his boomerang and quickly sliced the webs that held the spiders to the ceiling. They eased their fall and came at Link with their pincers. Link quickly sliced at their legs, throwing them off balance and he ended their lives. Link could no where the shrieks of another monkey in the hole the spider was guarding. He knelt onto the ground to try to peer through the webs, and sure enough a monkey was enclosed in a wooden cage.
